I had no idea that you translated this song! Then again, I was very busy during December and I hadn't checked LJ until very recently. When you were talking about that explanation about the eyes, it reminded me of how people would describe people's eyes. Like if someone had hazel eyes but they would say "there's a ring of green in your eyes" or something similar, so that was what I was reminded of after you translated that line. Also, people talk about specks of colors in someone's eyes, so it could be that she is seeing the green in the guy's eyes (which is probably what the line is about).

Anyhow, I wanted to thank you that you still continue to crank out translations! Also, I've also started taking Spanish lessons (I had my fill of french for now, I think two years is enough) so this will be a great learning tool in the future for me.

Yes, I think those type of eyes are definitely what she means.

And you're welcome! I plan to continue doing this for the foreseeable future. I take short breaks every now and then when life gets too busy, and then just start again. I am happy to hear that you are starting Spanish. If there is ever an idiom or a phrase with an unclear meaning that I overlooked when I wrote the translation notes, feel free to ask. :-)
