are you sure it's just a cute love song?
I think it (the lyrics) comes across as arrogant, perhaps referencing the arrogant way people treat nature, with the example of the dolphins.

Nah, I don't think the showing off in the song lyrics is supposed to make you think about the arrogance toward nature. We can push in the arrogance toward nature part to bridge the two ideas, but I don't see the bridge naturally there.

Take your idea one step back: Calle 13 is highlighting the dissonance between happy people paying attention to only each other and the awful things that people do as a collective and ignore. This, I can see.

I took it as a song about heartbreak because of the gunshot and how ridiculous he felt to be in love and how ridiculous love is
it also doubles as a critique on what is playing on the radio, such as Jason Mraz, which has no meaning really, due to the general message of the entire album about popular music and the importance of saying what you have to say
