I wish you would translate more Jimenez songs. Your translation is wonderful because it stays close to the Spanish (even with my bad Spanish I can tell that), but then you add really helpful notes. Also you don't muddy the water by trying to rhyme. Thanks a lot.

oye amigo! esta seguro que "vengo aqui no mas pa recordar" doesn't simply mean "I'm NOT coming here anymore to remember" since he is singing about the hurt?

Yup! If he wanted to say "not coming here anymore," the word order would have been different ("no" before the verb). He's talking about going to the bar to reminisce. I'll remove the comma at the end of that line so it's more clear.

Favorite part of this song is he quotes his own song "la que se fue" and includes it in the song...i LOVE him to death and im not a native spanish speaker but feel like i've grown up with these songs! im now 30!
