Mary Anne's avoiding sleep again; immortal or not, it's starting to show around her eyes. Still, it's quiet out here, and there's room to move. She's walked most of the way around the lake and has turned around to head back towards the bar. Odds are low of her actually heading inside; more likely she'll just make another circuit to keep herself

You should move faster if you want to stay awake.

And if she looks hard enough, there, stoic in the dark. He's always been comfortable in it- he can see in it, whilst mortals can not. When he was young and the lights were too bright, only the solace of the dark was comforting.

He isn't moving, perfectly still. A statue, only shown otherwise by his olive skin, strange eyes and glassy fingernails.

Her eyes are better than they were. She stops walking and turns to look in his direction, though she comes no closer.

How long have you been standing there?

In this place? Only a few minutes.

A dark blur, a rush of air, and he's closer.

"I am a Vampire, I am accustomed to the dark." But he's smiling, and it isn't in an antagonistic way.

She smiles faintly back.

"Of course you are...How've you been?"

(since you told me I wasn't hermemyself)

She keeps a tight lid on that thought.
