Having gotten a ride from practice, we were just outside my house when we saw no less than three deer making their way across the street.

For those who don't know, I live in the city now.

I can only imagine that they made it all the way from Springbank to here, though the logic of that route is baffling. I wonder where they were going.

That's awesome. I've seen deer along the bike-path a few times. It's not that jarring to see them there since it's an ostensibly "green" area. However, it's pretty amazing when you consider they're a two minute drive from Oxford and Richmond. I guess wild animals have to be pretty expert at avoiding the attention of humans to survive!

Haha, sweet. Though deer are pretty dumb, so in deer-logic maybe the route makes a little more sense.

Apparently there were a couple in the backyard here once.

I see deer all the time in Medicine Hat, but the Hat's little and surrounded by prairie and my parents live closer to the edge of town than to downtown.
