I know what you mean about the fanfic situation. The fullest one I can think of is imjustsayin.net (something like that), but a lot has been lost, sadly. I'd be willing to help with any graphics or anything like that you might want, if you need a hand.

I'll get on to it.. maybe make a basic design, with all the scripted/programmed features that i want, and then run crying to you for help. =]
right now my main concern is not stepping on copyrights... a lot of people do the "take it if you like, but CREDIT!!" which is no problem.. otherwise I'll try to get consent, but for areas more gray than all that.. I'm not sure.. :/

The best thing to do is email individual authors to ask if they would like their work to be archived, or to put up a post on the6 asking if anyone there has anything they would like archived, or if they would prefer their work to remain out of it...

You're so right about the fanfic. There's not much of it I like but I was looking around just last night to see if I could find any and there's only a few sites but they barely have anything and it's all old stuff. Good luck in your task - I'm sure it'd be appreciated by many!
