No wonder our perception of beauty is distorted...

Apparently I never posted this. Thought I had... In my photography class my teacher showed us this to demonstrate the ethics of photo editing. But of course, the entire thing is disturbing. Most probably already know all this goes on, but it can't hurt to watch.

wow, I'm so green and behind the times..so this is photoshop..I see this in some people comments but never knew the steps or how it was actually done..this is sad..Risa, when you write your book and talk to young girl and boys..we must not forget our boys,I know you will keep it real..I'm glad you've open my eyes more to this wheel and how it is kept oiled and turning..I have a daughter and son and I am teaching her that she beautiful no matter what. Self-esteem is an important factor in our everyday lives..without it..we can not exsist properly..again thanks for sharing this and giving me more to this industry..

I have loved this for the longest time! I have the video on my ipod and show it to anyone who will pay attention.

I LOVE THIS!
Its like, look this is what is real, and now, this is what companies want us to believe is real, or even achieveable! Its horrible.
Im in Marketing at University, and I have been shown this a number of times in my classes, thankfully the world is changing and we are learning a lot about ethics, so once I get into the industry, I hope to make a difference somehow :)

I am yet to attend one of those *sigh* It got moved though... to the beginning of August. Hope you are still there for it. *fingers crossed*
