You're definitely not alone. I am so very sorry. That is truly difficult to bear, but you two seem to be handling it well- as I recall, when we miscarried our twins, I made a lot of grim jokes, too. Humor does help. I'm also very thankful that you had as much support as you did- God is good there- and yes, all the time. Thank you. I actually thought about you and a couple of other LJers who have shared bits of their stories. I've been struck by how utterly clueless I was about this particular kind of grief/loss. It was impossible to anticipate how much of an impact it has had, and I can only imagine how much more painful it could be. But God is deeper. And merciful. There's hope there.
I am so sorry for your loss. I have suffered two miscarriages, so I understand the pain. It helped me to allow myself to think of it as a baby, not an embryo, even to name the lost children and grieve, though I had those around me that did not understand since they were very early miscarriages. But God knows them. He has them. I wanted to acknowledge that.
so sorry, friend. i have others who are close to me who've lost babes at 7 weeks, at 21 weeks, and right after birth- NONE are easy and all are hard to comprehend and walk through. sending prayers and much love your way. glad that you guys have such awesome support to come around you in this time. xoxo
