This is perfect. And ridiculously in character. And, so very poignant. You've done a lovely job-thank you for writing and sharing this and for posting it now.

Thanks so much. :) I'm glad it rang true for you, and that it seemed to accomplish that sort of bittersweet feeling.

*sigh* This was a bright spot in an otherwise entirely crappy day (and it's not just The Plan spoilers. I'm watching it tonight BTW and will have to post thinky thoughts when I do.)

This was so touching and sweet.

The line where she couldn't get out the word "incapacitated" had me giggling. :( I wonder if the poor girl would be too drunk to remember him helping her? Wouldn't that just be a kick to the gut.

Thanks, babe. Glad I could bring you some brightness. (HANG IN THERE!!!!)

I was actually going to end it with a line about her not remembering any of it in the morning, but then I wasn't sure if I wanted them to lose that moment together. I'm also kicking around the idea of doing Lee's version of events as well, so we'll see. Maybe then.

I love the intimacy of this: Another long-suffering sigh and he relents, helping her onto her mattress instead. It takes some maneuvering, but they manage to get her under the covers, and before long she's sprawled on her belly, face toward the wall, and he's running a hand over her hair and moving away.

She doesn't want him gone, she realizes, so she flails an arm out to grope blindly at him. "Lee, wait."

His fingers lace with hers; the bed dips next to her. "Yeah?"

"Stay?"

"Yeah," he murmurs, and then his hand is on her back, rubbing slow, steady circles between her shoulder blades. It's the last thing she feels before sleep drowns her.

Thank you!!

Wow, this was soooo great. I wish we could have seen something like this because it plays out like it would have in the show!! It really shows what close friends they are, which is exactly what Lee said to her earlier.

Thank you so much for writing this.
cheers.

Thank you so much! This fic helped my rage a lot. I just loved and Lee was well just Lee.

The fic is sweet and simple unlike the pilots. For those two, no matter what really does mean no matter what, through thick and thin.

Thanks!:)

Thanks. :) I'm glad you liked it, and that it helped with your rage. I do always love their devotion to each other, even when things are not-so-great between them.

I agree! They always come back to each other and got each other's back. No matter what!
