I like this theory! It's really interesting... and it makes sense since we never did see Cobb's totem. I hope it's true!

exactly! like, Arthur and Ariadne both make points of not letting anyone else touch their totem, so why would it be okay for Cobb to use Mal's? He would need to have one of his own, and Nolan sets it up perfectly, it's just such a tiny detail.

I love Nolan, people say he's a hack but I'm sorry most of his films really make you think and pay attention. Inception is just toooo good.
