Maybe if he was still alive I'd agree, but only maybe. I mean, I can't remember the last time I heard of a comic-book film winning Oscars for acting anyway...
But this malarkey over his death is pathetic. "ZOMGFZZZZZZ he is deadz n I luvved him FOREVAAAAAZ rly! GIVZ him OSCARZ!" . . . fuck off.
I don't think any comic-book film has, which is a shame, considering that "The Dark Knight" is probably the best one out there. However, yeah, Heath getting a posthumous Oscar, while he did the BEST Joker performance I've ever seen, is completely retarded.
He deserved one while he was alive, for the role, not now that he's dead.
It was a truly thrilling and immersive performance. He wasn't so much playing him as he was becoming him. But either way, it was hyped beyond belief (even before his death with the truly well thought out marketing and teasers, and now more so). I'd like him to not even get nominated to give all these butt-fucking "fans" a dose of sanity.
And I think the only things comic-book films get a look in at awards shows for are their special effects and such.

And I say no, on the oscar, even though it was a smashing performance.
A twat in The Sun said he didn't deserve it because he "was wearing facepaint and so we couldn't see his facial expressions." Head? Meet desk.
