Wow. I'm still trying to find the words to truly express what I felt when I finished reading this besides awe. I'm hoping the boys have a happier ending than this, but Dean's pain is just so poignant throughout and with the end, I just want to cry for him. Beautiful.

First off, I am so relieved that you enjoyed this story. I was worried about it, that it wasn't going to follow your request and all that, but yay! Relief.

I'm so glad that the interaction between Dean and Cartwright worked for you. I had so much fun writing them in their conversations, but I didn't know if it was just my own personal enjoyment that was winning over or if it was actually going to work.

when we get Dean at his rawest, his pain and turmoil really just jumps up and bites you.This is so very true. We only get glimpses of Dean at his worst moments and how he really reacts and it's hard to relate to who Dean is most of the time. I'm so glad I could capture that! I always wish we could see more of Dean like that because that's when I love Dean most, so I'm glad that I could do that justice ( ... )

Oh, Deeeean. Not many fics really get into Dean's head in the way that I myself see him, but you've managed it with this fic. I loved it the first time, and I love it still. This is just amazing and heartbreaking and such a beautiful, tragic portrait of Dean's character and how it could all end - dismal and aching - for all of them. It's lovely. ♥
