So today at work I ingested a chemical that said HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED in large, bold lettering on the side. Wish me luck that I don't die, everyone!
In happier news, I finally watched the first three Sherlock episodes. Holy hell, now I am in it. I mean, Downey still owns my heart, but as a good friend once said to me "It's like watching Tony Stark

If you find any amazing fic please do let us know. I have only read one that really blew me away. Even though it was tagged as a 2009 film fic it is a modern day AU and to me read as Cumberbatch's Holmes.
In any case thanks for the recs, I will know who to blame if these fic break my poor old cracked heart :D

Oh my gooooood, I love those two stories something fierce. Tony is just so broken in TTT and baby Chrissy in Mockingbird just comes up and steals your heart without you even being aware of it. But Nancy just... she delivers with that fic, dude. Watching Tony struggle with his memory loss made me reach for and cuddle with my pillow when I went to bed, it hurt so good. I hope you enjoy all the stories!

The weirdest thing? It actually tasted good. Maybe it was because I've been sick the past few weeks, but god help me, the 'harmful agent' I ate was actually yummy. What the hell? LOL Let's just be glad I haven't sprouted horns or bat wings. ;-)
And no, seriously. That story, girl. There's something about memory loss/amnesia that drives me completely batshit insane. I think it stems from my Flowers for Algernon obsession when I was in high school. But that fic... Jesus. When Steve gave him the cue cards something in my heart broke a little. I don't know if you watched SGA, but there was a scene in the last season when Rodney was going through the same sort of thing, due to a parasite in his brain, and his BFF John and him are out having 'beer on the pier' when Rodney tells him he'd like to say goodbye now before he forgets his own name and John refuses ( ... )

There have been fandoms that I've fallen in and out of over the years, but my one true pairing will always, always be John/Rodney, aka Mcshep.
John Sheppard is the military head of a multinational expedition in another galaxy, Rodney McKay is the acerbic chief science officer, and together they have the most ridiculous, smoking hot, amazeballs chemistry out of any other pairing I have ever shipped, and you KNOW how hard I ship Tony/Steve. By the time this episode rolled around, the show was in their fifth and last season. But in five years we Mcsheppers have had heartfelt confessions of love at each others deathbed, gratutious cockblocking, incandescent jealousy and at one point John even convinces a man to kill himself to save the life of Rodney's sister (so Rodney doesn't have to do it himself).
If you only ever take one thing away from this comment though, take this scene, which is the aforementioned "John refuses to say goodbye" angst. This is actually a flashback that John is having of ( ... )
