putting the pen to the paper... or the fingers to the keys

Dec 26, 2010 13:44

So, I've seen this around somewhere. I'm sure lots of my awesome friends have done this, but I can't remember who might've posted it so I'm stealing this meme from everyone. It looked like fun and I need some inspiration, so let's just say that I'm a stealing stealer who steals ( Read more... )

Ooh ooh, me, me! Prompts, I have them!

Okay, I know you already wrote a coda to your 'red pen' verse, but my love for those characters knows no bounds, so...

"Chris Pine, Editor Extraordinaire", more from the day after.

OR

If you don't feel like delving into a verse you've already given us extra for, I'd love to see a prequel to In Everything But Blood.

Eames is there when he gets home, waiting on the couch with his arms crossed in front of his chest. His expression is tight as he stares at the muted television ( ... )

"Everything's always 'end of story' with you, Arthur," Eames says. He walks over to the bed and sits on Arthur's feet. Arthur kicks out until Eames ass falls between his legs, his feet dangling off the end of the bed. "Back during homecoming, and that trip to Greece, and let's not forget the Lincoln Tunnel fiasco. I don't need to bring up Isabella, do I ( ... )

Eames leaves, pulling the door shut behind him, and Arthur falls backwards again.

He knows the issue isn't settled. He knows, the next time he comes home after a job, Eames will act the same way; angry at Arthur's 'carelessness'.

Arthur also knows, somewhere inside of him, that if his parents could see him now they wouldn't even be able to look him in the eye.

He turns on his side, wincing when the bedclothes rub against his sore back, and closes his eyes.

Fifteen minutes later Arthur opens his eyes and huffs at the wall. He's laying on his front, head turned to the window so he can glare at the tree right outside. It's been windy lately, and the branches are screeching against the glass loudly. Damn Eames and his window that faces the bay.

Arthur grabs for his iPod and sticks the buds in, scrolling through to his Beethoven playlist. He's halfway through his favorite, the third movement of Moonlight Sonata, when he sighs in frustration ( ... )

"Thou Shall not Covet" is one of my all-time favorite fics! I'd love to read: "Thou Shall not Covet", three months later. Thank you. Lindarella123

The knocking made them both pause, looking up at each other in alarm.

They both had told their respective parties of friends and coworkers that this night was special. No text messages, or phone calls unless there was a serious emergency. And no visits. Full stop. That part Chris had made quite clear to both his parents and sister.

He put a pot of coffee on when Zach had showed up at the door and waved off the hairy eyeball Zach had given him when he noticed. Their conversation had gone something like:

"You don't drink hot coffee."
"Kat said the same thing to me. Then I told her I was making it to throw in her face if she came knocking. I think she got the message."
"Ahh, the bonds of siblinghood."and there, for a brief second, they both tensed. Then Chris had shook his head and laughed a little and the conversation moved forward ( ... )

He turned to see Chris set his box on the side table in front of a window. Joe held up his own box and Chris took it from him, putting it down on the floor ( ... )

Joe just smiled tightly again, this time at the floor. He nodded at it, as though confirming something between them. Or maybe just to himself.

HOW DO YOU DO THIS TO ME?!?

Also, NEVER STOP DOING THIS TO ME, OKAY.
