you can donate for hurricane sandy appeal at any country branch of Red Cross.

This made my donation so easy, because I donated to the British Red Cross, which also qualifies for Gift-Aid which I guess is like your tax deductable thing.

I remember the last auction - my bank had an absolute fit at the international payments and stopped my card - thinking it had been stolen, so I felt much more secure making a donation to a British place.

It looks to be a calm week ahead, at the least, which is a huge blessing. We're all doing okay for now, and we're hopefully set for the foreseeable future :)
