"When I read a book I seem to read it with my eyes only, but now and then I come across a passage, perhaps only a phrase, which has a meaning for me, and it becomes part of me." ~W. Somerset Maugham

Ahhh that's some good stuff and also a good dose of truth. I'm sure at some point everyone feels like that at some point which well to me is something that I enjoy very much because at that moment you have no cares in the world ^^;

wow that deepness came out of no where but i like it i remember one time this is one of those moments that just sticks in my head
i had just walked outside on a cool summer day and i see bubbles floating by lots of them and then i look over to see where they are coming from and the neighborhood kids are having some kind of massive bubble party and when the bubble would reflect the light of the sun it was just mezmerizing....its the simplist things in life that can make you feel real again and make you stop and enjoy the pure simplisity of it all

*puts out the foldable card chairs in a circle* hi my name's Twar and i'm an addict... lol, but no seriously it is those simple things. I like how you put it, they make you feel real again. As for being caught in the moment i love this combination of words "here and there, now and then" in my eyes that represent the past, the future, the present, the moment lots of meaning to those five words common every day words when they're combined like that.
O.o ::head is sinking in the deepness of the deep deep depths of the dark deepness the envelopes the mind in deepness::
@_@ THAT IS DEEP, LIKE DOWN TO EARTH AND TO THE OTHER SIDE DEEP!!!
anyway, the closes thing i have had is when i was running around camp out in the boonys, and i was dead tired and i layed down on a hill but when up looked up from the ground there was an endless sky, with the strongest blue i've ever seen. the skys always there but sometime i forget that its there lol ^_^ its a comfort ::waves:: not as deep as ya other guys
HAIKU BATTLE (cont.)somedaydreamerOctober 7 2005, 12:39:57 UTC
OH! OH! NO YOU DIDN'T! lol
the pendulum swings unrelenting conundrum deus ex machina
+ + + + + + + + + +
amongst dying gods, a wolf in sheeps clothing He who sees the Deep
note: I know this one isn't a haiku, but these are lines I came up with ad lib, as i was writing the first and thinking of the second. It's still poetry though :P

The glisten of eyes
In the night they hunt for meat
Humans are so strange
The swing of an axe
The shattering crush of bones
Gladiators work
those arent very good but i just woke up
