Yes, the York Minster was my favorite cathedral, out of all the ones I saw on our family vacation many years ago to Europe. I really liked the brightness and color.
I think it's my second-favorite now, after seeing Santa Maria del Mar in Barcelona.
Yeah, I've heard that's quite beautiful. Taki went there last month and he brought back some postcards of the place; very impressive indeeed!
When you go to Europe, your typical destinations are castles and cathedrals. In asia, it's temples and amazing food everywhere (except you have to be careful b/c things aren't quite as sanitary here).
I really want to go to Thailand -- I would eat SO MUCH food! I think I would be a blimp after that trip. ;)
I met a guy last night at the club (my friend was DJing) and we bonded over the places we wanted to travel -- Thailand and Iceland. I think he sort of suggested we have some exciting trip over the summer. Huh.
Haha, Thailand would be pretty awesome. The funny/sad thing is, after a while of gluttony and gorging yourself you find you just can't stuff yourself at a meal any more, no matter how good the food is.
Exciting trip, eh? Perhaps to Madagascar? Was his name Arthur? Is his best friend an alien? :)
Travelling is awesome, but to be honest, I'm about ready to settle back into routine for a while (and play with all the pictures I've taken on this trip, haha).
