...that might be too much to hope for.

At any rate, I'm here, alive, and functioning within established parameters.  My computer is still out of commission.

So over the weekend I went to the library and retrieved The Amulet of Samarkand by Jonathan Stroud, which came to my attention through Miss Snark's recommendation.  I have to say, yes, this ( Read more... )

Jasper Fforde and Jonathan Stroud are both amazing, and their books take up much of my Top 20. Have you read The Big Over Easy yet? It was hilarious, and though personally I preferred Thursday, it's in my Top 20, too.

Very interesting! I always like to see what sort of books people enjoy. I've also had the chance to enjoy Le Mis and The Scarlet Pimpernel. They're very good stories.

Now I'm all inspired to go reading...
