For a long time now (I think ever since the old TV show "Route 66" back in the 60's - yes, I am that old. :p), one thing I've wanted to do was to drive it from one end to the other. In some places it ends, and you're forced to take an interstate, but you can hop back on and cruise for a while more.
Another thing I want to do is go back to Australia to see other parts that I didn't get to see the first time (such as Ayers Rock, the Great Barrier Reef, etc). I hope you get to take that picture. ;)

I thought about Route 66 and that's definitely an option, but I wanted to leave options open, just in case.
