Moon Cycle 41 + Activity Check Results

❖ MOON CYCLE 41 ❂ 11/01/10 - 11/10/10
Phase: One-quarter waxing. The sky has a sliver of brightness to it once more, and with it the stars begin to reemerge with a glimmer.

Weather: The weather is getting cooler throughout the week. High temperatures are dropping into the 50s and low 60s, with lows in the low 40s at night. Don't forget your fall jackets this week! Leaves are also turning from their reds, oranges, and yellows to a dead brown and falling from their branches at an increased rate.

Effects: As indicated by the signal post, the curse placed on Somarium has lifted and everything is back to normal.

Notes: There are several notes to keep in mind this week now that everything has returned to a relative baseline "normal."

• The Fountain. For those who want to investigate, the tunnels are now accessible, but limited. Everyone is free to wander through the underground labyrinth (until the cops catch wind and start stationing guards at all known entrances for the sake of public safety - then it might be a little more of a challenge!). All characters who venture below will find a huge super computer that's monitoring something, but they won't be able to tell exactly what. They will also find a map of the floating mountain drifting about Somarium. Now, I wonder why that's so?
• NPCs have returned to normal, as well as Somni City. The ghosts have all disappeared and been replaced by normal, solid people. None of the NPCs will have the faintest idea of what transpired in the past week, and if any characters try to talk to them or ask them about it, they'll laugh and call you crazy.
• Despite the NPC ignorance, all characters will remember what happened to them. Some characters may find that this stuff will haunt their memories for some time, now. But with the glowing return of the moon, their spirits should lift, and any apprehension and anxiety they might have felt will soon be inclined to fade.
• Schools are still in session. All characters who have chosen to attend school should keep in mind that exams will start at the beginning of December. Have fun with that, children!
• It's final harvest time! Farmers and scarecrows are bringing in the fruits of the autumn harvest before everything dies out. The last apples, pumpkins, squash, eggplants, and other fresh fall fruits and veggies are being hauled in for the winter. Get your supply of fruit preserves and pies while everything is still in season!

Some of you out there may be wondering where the Fear Effects aspect of the Halloween event went. Well, we judged that there were already too many things going on with this event as is, and we decided to scrap this idea for the current event and push it for a different New Moon event sometime in the future. We'll definitely keep all suggested ideas and just place it on hold. Thanks to everyone who participated and gave suggestions for this event!
