Event Part II: MONSTER INVASION
Okay, I got two things to talk about in this post: monsters in Somarium and the sudden explosion of posts in castleofdoom. Let's tackle the event stuff first.
As promised, the desert monsters are invading! ...A little early :3
Yes, the sandstorm is set to end tomorrow, but it's already dying down quite a bit. It's still ill-advised to try and actually be outside when the sandstorm is still going, but at least you won't get immediately flayed by the strong winds?
So along with the dying sandstorm, the desert monsters are taking the opportunity to invade the city and start attacking anything and everything they see. That barrier had been blocking their invasion for long enough.
It is also very obvious that the barrier is gone. There is still a "wall" of sand where the barrier is supposed to be, but it's possible to pass through it without too much problems.
MONSTERS?!?!
Yep, you read that right. From now until September 13 the monsters will be in Somarium. Desert worms, sand sharks, deadly poisonous spiders, sand crabs, and any other random monsters you can think of will be coming.
Also, you can just NPC the monsters. Get creative :O
Edit: Yuli and Lucky are going to volunteer their services for those who want an actual monster played out by someone else. They will be using the noctaere journal, though it should be noted that the monsters are not related to the noctaere. We're just too lazy to make a 'creature_npc' journal especially since it probably wouldn't be used that often >_>.
It should be noted they do not get e-mail notifications from the journal! They'll try to track the threads, but if you need them to tag, you might have to contact them personally.
Can they be killed?
YES! But they are tough ones, the hardest ones being the worms and sharks obviously. The rest any person with a pipe could probably fend off. But if you see that dorsal fin breaking through the street surface or hear a rumbling beneath your feet run.
The difficulty of those the larger monsters are like mini bosses. They can be killed, but not without a good fight. We suggest partying it up with those who know how to fight.
The ghosts will also be around to try and help protect everyone, but their powers are limited.
Can my character die?
Unfortunately, yes, your character can die. However, they could also be saved if there is a healer on hand. Don't forget every character has one healing card, but it's a one time use. Whether or not your character gets killed, it's up to you. Am I still not allowed to off Tamaki? :| /flees
Can my character go out into the desert?
Yes! In fact it might be safer out there if the monsters are coming in. But who knows? There are monsters out there, too...
So that sandstorm...what's going on?
As said before, it ends on September 6 on midnight (CST). That means that the sandstorm is still going on through Sunday. However, by now it's obviously died down a bit. By Monday, it will be gone completely.
Dreamberries
The DBs will be fully operational once the sandstorm ends. So you don't have to rely on texting anymore. Also, characters can still dream. If they manage to have time to.

And now for what some people are probably wondering about. We will no longer be using the Wiki, so all of the entries that were made there are being moved into the castleofdoom community, which was originally created to serve this purpose.
And there a lot. It's going to take a while, and we'll be trying to space them out so it's not an all out flood. However, if you do not wish to see the entries being posted, all you have to do is Stop Watching castleofdoom.
Do not leave the community. Just turn off the watch and you should be set! We'll be making another announcement once everything has been moved so everyone can go and look if they so desire. All the information pages will be updated and reformatted.
Laena requests some should at least look at this one to get an idea of what's going on.
