Halloween Event Prep!
Yeah that's right, ALONG with Tamaki opening his café, there will be a Halloween Event during the weekend of Halloween, starting October 31st - November 2nd. More like a Halloween Fest.
HERE ARE THE BASIC GUIDELINES:
1) Your character must have a costume. AND IT CAN BE WHATEVER YOU WANT. ANYTHING. They won't have to worry about making it or finding one, though they are free to do so. Whether or not they have prepped for Halloween, your character will "wake up" in a costume, either one they had found or one you decided. If you are unable to think of one by the time the event arrives, your character will find themselves either with a simple bedsheet with holes for eyes (lolol yes, a silly ghost) or in a big pumpkin costume. Can't have anyone miss out on the fun~ If there's more than one costume you want them to have, DON'T WORRY! Their costume can change for each day, though for the first two days, they must wear it all day (well, unless something happens in which they would have to take it off, but they can't change out just because they haet it want to. It will be stuck.)
2) Each day will hold different events, BUT DON'T WORRY IF YOU MISS A DAY! You are free to jump in a thread that was made on that day, but after November 2nd, no posts or new threads regarding to the event will be allowed. You are free to finish threads past that though.
3) As hinted above, yes, you can start new posts, especially if you're making a log with just certain people. There will be a public post made by the Overlord to signal the new day, so there will be a slight change in terms of the posting format so people can know which day the post is related to. Also, since there aren't that many people, don't feel too worried about flooding the community.
4) ANYTHING GOES. As in, if you want a smut filled log during this event go ahead >_> Just make it its own post and make sure to put warnings and such. ...Though I have NO idea if this will happen yet since this place is still new and I don't think there are many with that many developed relationships xD But anything can happen~~~
5) NO POWERS. Lolol, sorry magical/powerful beings, you are reduced to a normal human. Wouldn't want you trying to blast your way through things now would we~? THAT INCLUDES YOU, GEASS USERS! Also, NO WEAPONS, hee. Or rather, PROP WEAPON in its place :D Had a sword? Hope you like plastic. A rifle? Pffft cardboard. Or whatever. You get the idea ^_^ Though if your character was good at martial arts to begin with well...I guess they can still have those skills.
6) No one can die. I know we've had a few scraps but yeah. No deaths allowed here :O (Sorry, can't be a real ghost or zombie for Halloween xD)
7) There is no escape. That's right, they won't be able to leave the area at any point during the event. They can try, but they'll just find themselves running into an invisible wall. Maybe feel a bit of magical, spooky shock.
AND NOW FOR WHAT HAPPENS ON EACH DAY (SUBJECT TO BE MODIFIED/CHANGED):
October 31st: Your character will wake up to find himself in his chosen costume and in the middle of a deserted carnival. It looks old and abandoned, not even probably working. But that's where he's proven wrong. The lights will flash on and the rides will start operating on their own. They may or may not even see the faint images of people who used to visit there. Your characters are free to interact, play in the game booths, walk around, get on the rides, get STUCK on the rides...anything that you can think of that a carnival should have will be there. Except one thing. Where's the Haunted House?
November 1st: If your character wondered where one of the most important things for a Halloween Fest is, they won't wonder anymore on this day. They will wake up, still in costume, in a random room of an old, abandoned haunted mansion. Filled with real spirits and traps. But no worries they won't die (unless they get, *ahem* scared to death |D), and they're not alone. For this day of the event, they will find themselves with a partner or two. And together they will have to find their way out. But don't worry, if they don't manage to make it out before the day ends, they'll wake up out of there. PLEASE PLAN AHEAD WITH ANOTHER PLAYER FOR THIS EVENT! And yes, it is possible to have a group of 3, but that's the max :O Oh, and be prepared for Overlord ghost invasions. If you are unsure who to group with, don't worry. Details below.
November 2nd: The final day! After the hell your character probably went through yesterday, it's only fitting that they have a bit of a relaxation. Your character will wake up, still in costume, and find himself in one of the many fields, but this one is different. The scarecrows are "dancing" and playing fiddles and flutes (they're stuck on sticks, they can only do so much D:), there are jack-o-lanterns, haybales, tables loaded with Halloween shaped treats like cakes and cookies as well as several punch bowls (both non-alcoholic and spiked...course it's not our fault if a character decides to spike them even more :3), and other decorations everywhere, and in the center is a large bonfire. If they looked up to the sky, they would see the faint outline of the mysterious floating castle, and the moon is full. Also, though they are sure that it should be morning, it's night. That's right, on this day, the whole day has turned to nighttime. No daytime for this day! Just 24 hours of darkness, illuminated only by the light of the full moon. Here, everyone can just have a chance to socialize, get together, drink, and even dance. This will be the only day in which the characters will be able to change out of their costumes and change into their normal clothes.
NOTE ABOUT DAY 2 GROUPINGS:
There will be another post on Monday in regards to who will be grouped with who for the Haunted Mansion day event. People are free to make their own groups, BUT, if you don't know who you want to group with, you will have a chance to make a post in there to offer up your characters for the Random Pot. Monday's post will let me know who all will actually participate in the event, and on Wednesday, anyone not already in a group will be randomly put in a group of 2 or 3. Though it's still possible to switch out :O
It'll make more sense the day the posts are made, I promise xD;
