Tch. Wouldn't be caught dead dressed like that.

[A voice calls him from behind. When he turns around, Lara gives him a slightly mocking curtsy in her dress, her hair pulled into an elegant mess of braids and curls.]
Good day to you, sire.
Reply
[And he turns around just in time to get that greeting. He silently gives her a once over, then turns his head stubbornly and folds his arms.]
So you're in character too, then.
Reply
In character? But sire, 'this how thee always speak.

Okay you've gotta stop, you're weirdin' me out. [He shifts to scratch awkwardly at the back of his head.]

Lara tries to stay in character but his awkward puppy face is too much and she grins lightly]
You are no fun, little brother. Where's your sense of party now?
[Oh yes, she's referring to that week where you were the town's drunk. You've got some explaining to do >|]
Reply
What party? This is no where close to my idea of fun.
[No explanation for you, not!sis. At least, not until he's deliberately asked for it (aka CORNERED).]
Reply
Why not? Or is that because you're idea of fun involves more liquor drinking then this? Should I be worried about you turning into an alcoholic in this time as well?
[Don't even try to run away from this interrogation, not!bro. Her tone is firm, but far from angry. She wants honest answers here.]

I wasn't in my right state of mind. I hardly ever touch the stuff, I'm being serious here.
[He shrugs, still rubbing at the back of his head.]
I was going through a lot, cut me some slack.

Good. A drunk brother is not a fun brother.
[Why yes. You just got family now. Deal with it, she's not retracting her words. Orphans gotta stick together.]
Well, next you do, remember that you can share about it instead of just being an idiot. Or that I can find effective ways to make you talk, Nero.
[The last part is said with a teasing smirk. No matter what happens, you'll always be fun to tease for her.]
Reply
[Joking, joking. But let's face it, he'd be one clumsy and impulsive drunk.]
Yeah, yeah. I hear you loud and clear. I'm not really one to gush about my feelings though.
[Or to seek help, for that matter. But that smile of his, and how it lacks that sarcastic edge to it, conveys his true feelings here. It's nice to have people that care, even if he'll be the last to openly admit it.]

I seriously doubt that.
[She knows he's joking: that week made it pretty clear that he'd be an angry drunk. Once over the initial clumsy and impulsive stage]
Good. And don't make me regret that I let you off easy for that week. [She's teasing too, but that true smile is met with one of her own. Lara is relieved and happy that the kid got the message.]

[Hi there, Nero. Just Zoey here in her usual get-up, messing with a few settings of the new video camera she brought along.]
Reply
[Grumble, bitch and moan. He then nods to the device she's holding.]
What you got there?

Was just asking 'cause I've never seen one like that up close.
[The guy lived on a psycho religious island, tech like that had to have been rare.]
