"We'll close early. Can you lock the door?"

When the suggestion finally came, Omi looked to Aya and nodded once. Front doors were locked and window sign turned to Closed. Blinds lowered. Omi double-checked that he had a full case of darts clipped to his waist. He grabbed a potted plant to move into the backroom storage on his way for the broom.
Just a little longer, he told himself, as he opened the rear door of the shop and stepped into the backroom.

Muraki had the feeling he'd be looking for new work very soon.
So he made sure to visit Nectar as one of his first stops, still banged up from Ritsuka's clawing and kicking. He tried the door and wasn't too surpised it was locked. Good thing a locked door never stopped him from getting where he wanted. He closed his eyes, pictured the interior of the shop, and was there in an instant.

"He's here!"
And then he was running at the man with the garden supplies held like a knife.

The pot Omi was holding shattered against the floor. He dashed back out to the storefront, a fan of darts already splayed between his fingers.
"Muraki!"

"I'm not going to hurt either of you. I only came to return what was taken," he said as he reappeared.

"This will end, Muraki."

The only problem with being this focused was that it left him open for Aya to attack him in some way.

"Get away from him!"

Then it was like a tidal wave. Memories flooded through his mind in such magnitudes that he lost sight of where he actually was. He gasped and staggered backwards, eyes settling to a blank stare that saw nothing of the scene before him. The three darts dropped from his hand and clattered against the tile floor.

"I haven't hurt him," he told Aya as he waited, almost taunting him to attack in some way by simply remaining there. Why else would he stay instead of quickly leave?
The reality was that he didn't have the energy to leave just yet. Memory games took a lot out of his magical reserves.

Muraki grabbed the shears, stepped closer, and tried to reach for Aya's braid.

"Omi. I'm fine. There isn't time for this."
