[He finds this amusing.

There is no target on Break's back, and he simply is observing at first--observing how she fights and what, exactly, these arrows might do. And then he steps out, cane at his side, and seems utterly cheerful, as per usual.]

It is quite the conundrum--

[He sidesteps an arrow without batting an eye, as if it is the most normal thing in the world.]

Oh! M-Mister Break!

[Oddly, despite Noel's clumsy and nervous behavior, her series of dodging and parrying the attacks seemed effortless.]

Well, I don't know... They're disrupting the civilians, but... Won't it look bad if I attack them?

[He smiles at that.]

Oh? Is that all? My, what interesting arrows, that they are merely a disruption and not at all deadly.

[Noel becomes flustered about his response.]

Y-You know what I mean...! It's the fact that it's a threat that makes it a disrup---

[She was so distracted by this, that suddenly... DONK! A red arrow lands on her back. Oops.

She stands there, stunned, as the cupids dispersed due to a job well done.]

[ He has a target of his own on his back; however, he doesn't seem to be too concerned with it or with anything else around. Especially not with the red arrow stuck there either.

Yeah, he's too busy making googly eyes at the dreamberry in his hands, as he walks along, to notice all of those arrows donkdonkdonking off his head. ]

Oh, Dreamberry...

[What.]

H-Hey! You... weird-hat-wearing thing! It's dangerous to be outside right now so go hide somewhere!

Wha--huh?

[ He manages to stop eyeballing the dreamberry long enough to look up at the lady.

Arrows still bounce off his head, but he smiles stupidly. ] Don't worry, I'm a hero! Nothing bad is going on here.

Just me and Dreamberry...

[Unless one looked at Elliot's back extremely closely, one wouldn't even notice that he had the tiniest of targets on the back of his coat. When he saw that Noel was being attacked, he was quickly moving in to help her... Again. Why did she always seem to need help?] Leave her alone, damnit!

Don't hesitate! They've been attacking people all over the streets! They're a threat!

[... Why now. As if her luck couldn't get any worse, he had to show up while she's in a middle of a fight... If anyone could call it that. Now not only is it not the optimal moment to spill out her feelings, now she has to worry about him getting impaled by arrows too.

Well, there's no use complaining about it. She'll just have to make sure he doesn't get hit either.]

I-I see... Then! I guess have no choice! Go find cover!

[She twirled the guns in her hands to readjust her grip, then began returning fire as she continued to dodge and parry the incoming arrows. The little buggers were really small targets, and it almost seemed like each one she managed to shoot down was quickly replaced by another.]

Ugh! They're... persistent!

Who do you think you're talking to?! I'm not leaving!

[Within seconds, his sword was drawn. He moved to cover her back, facing the opposite direction of her, swiping at any of the little brats that came too close, and chasing the ones that were too cowardly to get close, all while trying to keep out of the way of the arrows.]

[All these months knowing him, and he still doesn't know the difference between cowardice and caution. As Noel parried some more arrows, she glanced back to once again take cover, but noticed a Cupid taking aim behind him.]

H-Hey! Watch out!

[Noel pointed one of her guns to shoot at the cupid, but then...

DONK! The Cupid cleverly switched targets and instead fired the black arrow at Noel's outstretched wrist. As soon as the tip of the arrow came in contact with her, it morphed and transformed into a pair of handcuffs, causing the two to be literally chained together.

As soon as that happens, the cloud of winged babies dispersed due to a job well done.]

[Well, oops.]

[What is this Tsubaki doesn't even. Noel what.]

N-Noel?

[She rushes in there and helps her out a little. Tsubaki's still confused but they can talk later.]

What's going on here?

[Sorry, BFF Tsubaki. Kind of busy dodging stuff to look at you properly.]

I... I don't know! I suddenly got this target on my back that won't come off and now these things have been shooting arrows at me!

That's unfortunate. If I got any closer I'd become a potential target too. This is a tough one.

I-It's fine, Tsubaki... I don't want you getting hurt or anything on my behalf...

[brb shooting down some arrows. TOO MUCH DAKKA GOING HER WAY.

Oh look, she failed to get the one that snuck up behind her. DONK! Now a red arrow was stuck to her back. What.

The cupids are beginning to disperse too. Double what.]
