Zack didn't usually frequent this part of the city, but Ophelia decided to wander to this part and Zack just went along with her. She had been trained to not run too far from Zack so he wasn't worried. When she wandered over to a man with wings, Zack sighed softly. "Ophelia, c'mon, stop buggin' everyone you-"

And then he recognized the man. "Oh! Hey, Angeal! What're you doin' over here?"

Angeal looked down as a dog started sniffing him, smiling at the animal and then smiling even more at the sight of the teenager that looked just like his protege. He crouched, reaching to ruffle and pet at the dog, getting excited responses from her and laughing at her pouncing up at him.

"I was just exploring. I haven't had a chance since I arrived here." Of course, with a real dog around, human puppies just weren't that interesting, so his attention returned to Ophelia quickly.

Well, good. Being called a puppy was not something Zack really wanted. Besides, it was nice to see Angeal smiling and laughing compared to that video before. Besides, Ophelia was loving the attention. She was only five months old, after all. Everything was just amazing in her eyes.

"Yeah, it's a pretty neat place. Lots of things here are really different," Zack replied. "So what's got you interested in this ol' flower shop?"

"But some of it is just like home. A big city, overbearing and unpleasant." He shook his head faintly and continued ruffling at the puppy, smiling as she wiggled her butt along with her tail, entirely enthusiastic. This was the best part about dogs-- when they were so much hassle they drove people crazy!

"Oh... I'm... a bit of a gardening enthusiast. Or, a nature enthusiast." Either worked, but saying he liked growing pretty flowers was kind of pathetic.

Lloyd had been doing some shopping of his own, partly as an excuse to get out and do something and partly because he needed some stuff. Gloved hands tucked under his arms, he rounded a corner-

-and stopped dead in his tracks, eyes wide with shock. His eyes were riveted on Angeal.

Glancing over his shoulder, Angeal frowned as he noticed a brunette stood staring at him. It was a little creepy at first, and as he continued to stare, Angeal finally just turned to face him, crossing his arms, raising a single dark eyebrow as piercing blue eyes fixed on the other.

"Can I help you?" Or, as a less polite person or Genesis would say, stop staring at me like that you creep.

The words startled him out of his state of shock, or at least enough that he responded before he could think better of it. "What's an angel doing here?" he blurted out. His eyes darted to Angeal's wings, then back to his face. No, there wasn't any mistaking what those things were.

Angeal actually laughed, shaking his head as his arms lowered to his sides. "The name is Angeal, actually." Though he was entirely aware of why he was being called an angel. His wing curled tight against his back, the smaller fluttering, and he shook his head faintly.

"I'm not an angel, either. I'm human." Mostly.

Shockingly, a very tall man with long silver hair stepped out of the shop, a small basket in hand. Although not in uniform, instead attired in comfortable street clothes, Sephiroth couldn't hide the military bearing nor the huge sheathed blade strapped across his back and right shoulder.

But his eyebrows rose as he caught sight of the familiar figure on the walk just a few feet away, surprise evident in his expression. He shook his head with a soft sigh. No matter the world, it seemed they were doomed to cross paths. And he'd been doing so well these past few days, putting everything out of his mind. Damn.

Angeal paused as Sephiroth emerged from the shop, raising a brow at the basket of flowers. It was surprising, but he supposed even Sephiroth had to enjoy flowers. Didn't everyone? Then again, being a gardening enthusiast, he assumed everyone could at least appreciate the beauty of a flower. Especially exquisite ones like those Sephiroth held.

He lowered his arms, looking Sephiroth over discreetly. He was, himself, dressed entirely in black as usual, though it was simply a shirt and jeans, the sleeves rolled to his elbows.. "I never thought I'd ever see you buying flowers," he spoke softly, all things considered.

"You look well," he added, though Sephiroth did look a little tired and it worried him.

Sephiroth's lips twitched. "A gift. For the landlady." Bless her soul, she made him coffee, the dear woman. For Sephiroth, that elevated her status to something bordering on the semi-divine, plus, the one time she'd invited him in, he'd noticed her fondness for plants and flowers.

To Angeal's latter comment, Sephiroth merely shrugged. "New place. Difficult to sleep." Ignoring the fact that he was terrified to do so for fear of dreaming. He had no desire to visit those bad memories again, nor broadcast them to the entire world here. No, he kept himself busy and on the move so that when he did sleep, it was far too deep for dreams.

He didn't comment further, not knowing how to broach anything other than general pleasantries. The wounds were too fresh; Sephiroth had no desire to rip them open again.

"I see. That's nice of you." He crossed his arms, instantly defending himself subconsciously from the coldness between them. They'd once been so close that it was painful to have nothing left of that. More painful than any degradation ever could be. He just didn't know how to repair anything anymore.

His gaze fell and he cleared his throat. "I... don't know if you saw my... unintentional broadcast, but Genesis got a doctor involved." And his tone stated just how much he hated that. He didn't want anyone with any medical or scientific qualifications coming near him.

"I'd suggest you see the doctor too... for sleep medication." It worried him, and that was evident in his voice.
