[Exactly at the designated time, he materializes within the store. Perching delicately in thin air, he prods at the display of the grand piano with a bare foot, before drifting through the store, iridescent eyes betraying curiosity and general discomfort about being inside a four-walled institution. However, there is the distinct sound of... an instrument, he presumes, and because of the promise made the day before, he drifts in its general direction.

Before long, he finds himself a the back area of the store, slowly approaching a man holding a stringed instrument of a sort. He supposes that it must be an instrument, at any rate, and a quick mutter under his breath confirms this. Whether that is the 'violin' the 'harpsichord' or the 'pianoforte' is something that he can't determine right off the bat, so he doesn't bother with it. Floating forward, he descends to eye-level cross-legged, eyes wide.

Watches as the other... fiddles around with the instrument.]

... it does not sound very pleasant.

[Salieri doesn't notice Apollo until he speaks-he's had his eyes mostly closed, focused on the instrument. When he does speak, the composer starts, eyes opening--before his eyes widen and he stares. One doesn't exactly see people floating in the air all the time.]

You're...floating. [astute observation, I know.]

[Immediately, he lounges back in mid-air, hair flying.]

Isn't this what gods are expected to do?

[a pause, while Salieri eyes Apollo warily] Gods?

[that makes Salieri's eyes narrow slightly, and he straightens just a bit, chin lifting. Ah, dignity, there you are.]

Hardly. I simply have not met many deities in my time.

Consider yourself lucky, then. Not many do. [Said matter-of-factly.

Pointing towards your instrument.]

However, your instrument did not make a pleasant sound.
