Cid was just working on one of the parts for the SkyRunners when he heard Danny come in. Without even looking up, he just answered in his usual gruff voice.
"Shouldn't you be in bed?"
Though it had been a while since he actually looked at the clock on the wall, Cid knew it was pretty late.
Casting Danny a quick glance, Cid switched off the drill and moved over, allowing the kid more room. He then reached up and grabbed one of the extending overhead lights, pulling it down so it was more their level and held it out to him.
"Hold this. Got some wires I need ta solder but I can't see the little shits."
Danny puts a hand on the work-light, keeping it down and angled properly. His eyes follow the wires and soldering iron distantly (he's seen this kind of thing way too many times to care anymore), letting the man work in silence. While the quiet isn't entirely unusual, this complete lack of him chatting about anything is. He hasn't even asked what Cid's doing.
After a time, Danny breaks the silence first.
"Hey... Do you remember back when everyone from another world through they were actually from here?
