Renge didn't quite understand how she had gotten here in the first place. It was strange really. None of this really felt familiar the more she walked along the sidewalk. This wasn't Somi at all.
She stopped at the mouth of the alleyway hearing the voices echoing through it and two people there. One that looked to be wrapping their hands around the others neck slowly. Certainly not a intimate scene between lovers, there was something terribly off about it that gave her this ill feeling in her stomach.
Sorry this is late! Also, just so I'm clear, Neu probably shouldn't get too rough with Renge, right?slantedcrossNovember 3 2010, 06:55:08 UTC
More than knowledge, a feeling, a perception, the hairs on the back of her neck prickled, and Neu, sensing an intruder, promptly slammed Youji into the nearest wall. He groaned, and even pitiless Neu thought that dull cracking sound his head made was a bit sickening.
"Witnesses aren't to be tolerated," she said plainly, rounding on Renge with a brisk, businesslike manner. "But Masafumi would agree you're too pretty to kill." There was brief twist of her lips--jealousy?--before Neu resumed. "Consent to being part of his experiments, and I can prolong your life."
No worries. Well she cant take a lot of physical abuse.otakufanrengeNovember 3 2010, 07:44:28 UTC
There was a dangerous air around this woman, especially seeing Youji slammed against a hard wall. She had to flinch at the sound he made with his head. Fingers clenching at the front of her outfit. She remembered conversing with him once before. She would have liked to go to him and see if he was all right, though she thought it best to stay put for the moment not sure.
She wasn't too sure what she was speaking of. There didn't seem to be anyone around that could assist her. The woman's words wasn't too assuring, "...experiments?" The choices of dying or being a guinea pig didn't sound too appealing.
"What about him?" A frown formed on her lips looking towards Youji.

Awesome. Neu usually sticks to hand-to-hand, but Youji will jump in before it gets too serious.slantedcrossNovember 3 2010, 08:03:11 UTC
"He isn't worth anyone's time," Neu said crisply. "He's a weak, unambitious, pathetic mess of a man who can't stop pining."
Neu approached Renge slowly, not wanting her to bolt. Arm's length was good enough; she was just a slip of a girl, probably not worth more than the most obliging of blows. Neu trusted her speed.
"Masafumi Takatori is a brilliant scientist," she explained. "Furthering his goals is an honor you shouldn't pass up. He employs me as both his bodyguard," and here her smile became quite smug, "and lover. Masafumi is a noble man working towards a goal," her hand flew out, aiming to pin Renge's shoulder to the wall, "not some aimless, worthless nobody."
Things you somehow know you won't be thanked for, part nine million and one.
Story of Ken's life, this: he doesn't think, he just throws himself at the girl who's trying to hurt his friend and he knows damn well even as he does it that Youji isn't going to thank him for it and the saddest thing of all is that he doesn't care. It just doesn't matter to him that Youji's going to be angry, that he has no idea what he's seeing or why he's here to see it at all, or even where in the world he actually is and it's a dream, he thinks, but why would Youji be dreaming of that mad bitch Neu?
All that matters is that there is a girl trying to hurt his friend and all he can do is try to stop her. Even if he does nothing, even if Youji hates him for it, he's got to at least try. He knows what they say about the road to Hell, but what else is there to do?
The force of impact caused Neu to shriek and lose her grip; Youji coughed and hit the deck, rather too absorbed between the dual sensations of sweet, sweet oxygen and for pity's sake how long was that, how much damage did she just do? to really register what just happened.
Neu scrabble for some manner of purchase, aimed a chop at Ken's neck and attempted to knee his stomach. Why was--they were like rats, one you can see means three you can't, and she looked at him, disgust and vicious glee mixed in her smile.
"Why are you even bothering?" she hissed. "Look at him, brought this low by something so insignificant as a memory. Don't you know you're supposed to throw things out once they break?"

Though she made no promises regarding how long.
