The sudden voice in the darkness made him pull one his guns by instinct, pointing it... Somewhere ahead. How was he ever going to aim at anything in such a place? But better be safe than sorry.

But, after a second, he felt that voice was awfully familiar, and another second later he realized who it was. Or at least, who it was supposed to be. That place could be trying to fool him, and that wouldn't come off as a surprise.

"Is that you Goemon?" he called out, giving a step forward, not putting his gun down just yet.

Yes, it was Goemon alright, but he better approach with caution. Jigen moved to a nearby wall, pressing his back against it. After all, something or someone could attack him from behind, and he didn't want that.

"I'm fine," he finally answered, not as tense as before but still quite alert. "What about you?"
