[Javert walks briskly past Charlie's resting place, his head bowed in distraction, a thick pile of reports tucked under his arm, his police-cane swinging idly at his belt. It isn't until he has walked well past that quiet little park that the Inspector suddenly halts at the sound of a single guitar strum.
He knows that guitar.
Javert turns around and stares at Charlie. After a few moment's silence he looks back in the direction he is headed - toward police headquarters. And then his sharp eyes settle back onto Charlie, brow furrowed, a deep frown on his face.
Out of his pocket he draws his watch to check the time.
Ah, says the contraction in his brows. Lunch hour. That explains it.
[Distracted as he is in this little rhyming game he's so absorbed in, the much younger man doesn't appear to notice Javert walk by him at first. He's far too busy jotting down scribbled notes for this song onto the notepad he is so expertly balancing on his knee.
However. at that incredibly familiar voice jolting him from his thoughts, Charlie peeks up at his boss from his position on the ground. His relaxed posture straightens immediately.]

Still, he grins up at the tall man, beaming cheerfully.]
Nope, not yet. Thought I'd spend a few minutes with my guitar first.
[He strokes his guitar lovingly. Yes, strokes. This is the closest thing to a woman he has right now, okay?]

Charlie straightens flat against the thick tree behind him, hand resting lazily on his guitar.]
