Veronica had found herself in this strange place, and admittedly, she was feeling a little uneasy. She could always find her way to her destination, she was no careless fool...and yet here she was, lost and thinking that she wouldn't accomplish the task for returning to the Madaraki Mansion, and pay homage to her honorable sister.
That's when she found the old man, just snooping around and seemingly busy. She decided on possibly strangulating the information out of him before she offed him, but at that moment, Jade released some...strange power, controlling flames. With her interest peaked, Veronica launched herself down from the small building she had been standing on, and lurked the shadows as she approached the man.
Jade watched the pile of debris burn for a few minutes, confirming that it was disintegrating at a proper speed, then turned slightly toward the shadows behind him. Though he was occupied, and though his visitor was very quiet, he was far too used to enemies appearing from behind to be particularly phased.
"Well, do come out and say hello. I probably won't bite."
Now, this was a surprise. A pleasant surprise if Veronica's grin was anything to go by. There were little people who were able to tell she was there, and the fact that Jade had noticed her indicated that he was probably a very skilled fighter.
How delightful...
Still. Veronica wasn't going to let the game end so uneventfully, and dashed a bit more around the shadows before there were a couple of knives flying towards Jade so it'd be easier to immobilize him and ask for what she needed to know.
...Hmm. Jade stepped back from the knives and quickly materialized his spear, twirling its blade to knock the knives out of the air.
This person was moving a bit too quickly to attack with his spear, so he ducked back into a corner by the golem's other leg to shield his back, and began casting as quickly as he could. "O maddening gale of the spirits of the earth..."
Asch paused at the sound of a familiar voice, frowning to himself. He had come out this way in search of Haruhi who had vanished -- again -- and had been hoping she was at her shop. She wasn't of course, and as was par for the course, Asch got lost on the way back to his apartment. Even after all this time here, he had yet to get a good grasp of the city's layout.
He turned down an alley, following the source of the shout...
And here was Tsuna, who just happened to be walking along nearby when he heard Jade's incantation from up ahead. He didn't think much of it at first, but started a bit when the pile of debris suddenly burst into flame.
Jade just sighed. Hadn't they been over this already? ...Of course, the fonic arte probably hadn't helped matters. He took a few steps toward Luke. "Not an evil fonist, Luke."

"Me be careful?" he groused at him. "You're the one blowing shit up!"

Tsuna ventured a question. "Why are you... setting that on fire?"

Zetta interesting.
I could think of a decillion better ways to handle that but I'll admit it was effective.
