Ed feels the same, and he's grateful to finally be able to walk around without people telling him to be careful. He's grateful to know that Al has at least found a place to stay here.
And then the cat comes out. "Aha! I knew it! I knew you had a cat in there!"
Aerith had been in her room when the yelling started, and peeked out to see what was going on.
"Al?" She asked, laughing when her own orange kitten came out of the door and joined Casspir in bounding around the apartment. The flower girl came into the living room to see Al and a small blond boy. Surprised by the latter, she had to ask,

Al's a little relieved at the interruption. Perhaps this will keep Edward from commenting further on the two orange kittens playing around in a corner of the room.
"Aerith! I didn't know you were back." Otherwise, he totally would have called to warn her. But in his excitement over the appearance of Ed, Al had forgotten to check. "This is my brother, actually. Edward."
