"Merlin!" A young man, looking somewhat frazzled and annoyed asked as he lead his horse through the village, bellowing at the top of his lungs. "Merlin you are the most useless, empty headed, lazy manservant I have ever known. If you don't turn up soon and explain where I am ( Read more... )

After Aerith was done tormenting Malik for the day, she headed over to the field where she had her flowers planted, currently checking over the vegetables she had mixed in as well. When she heard the unfamiliar voice yelling about god knows what, she looked up, watching the young man on the horse up until he stopped at the fence. Everything was fine and dandy until the horse started nipping at the flowers she had planted over on that end.

Then she stood up, "Ah--Hey!" She called, running across the field and stopping in front of the boy and his horse, "Careful, I just planted those!" Don't let your horse eat them, OH GOD!

Arthur had been too busy shoving the sheep away from him - no sheep, you did not nibble on capes thank you very much - to notice what his horse had been doing and if the horse was hungry then that was fine with him. It wasn't as though he had anything better to do with his time right at this second while he tried to get his bearings.

He really didn't like not knowing where he was and he sighed before he heard the girl and looked up, pushing himself up and off the fence.

"You just planted what?" And then he looked down at his horse, busy eating the flowers he presumed she was talking about and because she was a fair maiden and he was rather lost, he gave the horse a nudge. "I apologise - I didn't see them and he gets hungry."

Holding the reins of the horse with one hand so he wouldn't eat more of the flowers she'd planted, he gave her a smile.

"I am Arthur Pendragon, might I have your name?"

Aerith sighed, "No harm done, I guess." She held her pout for a few seconds longer before giving him a soft smile in return. The horse could have just gone and eaten the grass beside the flowers, but it was too little to late now. So instead she knelt down beside the abused plants, running her hands over them gently and using her magic to nudge them along. They would be good as new in a few days, so there really was no harm done.

When she stood back up she tilted her head, well...wasn't he forward? "Aerith Gainsborough. It's nice to meet you, Arthur." even if your horse is a MURDERER. "I haven't seen you around before."

Because she was busy with flowers, which was a very typical lady sort of thing, Arthur busied himself with rubbing Tarrento's nose when the horse snorted and stamped his feet, apparently annoyed that he wasn't going to be able to eat more flowers.

Once she was standing again, he gave another smile. "A pleasure to meet you." Excuse him for being brought up to be a prince and a proper young man who liked to know who he was speaking with. "I don't think I've ever been here before - can you tell me where I am and roughly how many days ride it is to Camelot?"

Good thing he had his horse with him otherwise he was sure it was going to be a damn log walk although he still couldn't understand why he was here or how he'd arrived here when last he remembered, he'd been in Camelot.

Ezio was more or less just enjoying the little trip around Espoir on his newly acquired steed when he heard the yelling, and the shouting seemed to signify something he had started growing used to. Someone new had made it into Somarium, and they were planning on yelling until they got their questions answered. He would need to note the date for later, but for now, he directed Santo over to the fence where the young man decided to rest.

He was clad in his robes and armor, but the autumn winds had pushed his hood down ages ago. So the man could properly stare down at the younger when he neared, halting his horse beside him and half-grinning at the dinner comment,

"Or you could simply visit the tavern for a meal without having to cook it yourself," He offered teasingly, swinging himself off the horse and keeping a hold of the reins when he moved to the front, "I assume you've just arrived?"

Tarrento let out a loud snort when he noticed the other horse and the second Arthur saw armor, he was on his feet, just in case the stranger turned out to be hostile in some regard; Arthur was the stranger here and this man could be a guard for this kingdom.

Looking up at the stranger, he glanced over to the sheep that had finally started to sidle away as if sensing that sticking around wasn't the best of ideas.

"Not every village has a tavern but thank you for telling me that I can find one here." Hopefully that had some strong mead or some cider. That would go down well right now. "I suppose I have yes, Arthur Pendragon of Camelot. And you sir?"

"I should know where it is being that I live right beside it," How convenient for all parties involved. If he ever really wanted to get totally hammered he just had to walk next door--then not worry about having to walk far afterward. He nodded in response to the thanks he received, shrugging it off lightly.

"Ezio Auditore da Firenze," He said rather proudly, as he always did when introducing himself with the full title. "And who were you calling for earlier? A friend of yours I assume." he hated how easily this came to him now, "You're stuck here for now, amico, so it is best you find a place to stay before it gets dark. You're more than welcome to take the extra room in my cottage for the time being."

"Well that's handy indeed isn't it?" He smiled then because a tavern was at least something familiar and like home and the other outlying kingdoms of Albion ( ... )

Lara had been wondering around Espoir for most of the day, making herself more familiar with the village. She heard the shout, instantly recognizing the accent as her own, though the name shouted made her raise an eyebrow slowly. 'Merlin' and 'Camelot' were of legend in her world, but considering she had met the Alice from a book, it wasn't impossible that people from legend could come to this world as well.

Curious as ever, she followed the sound of the voice and smirked lightly at the young man on his horse:

"That's provided you can catch the sheep."

Either he was part of a very good reconstitution troupe or truly from Middle Ages' England, because his clothes seemed almost authentic.

With a raise of the eyebrow, Arthur leaned more comfortably on the fence taking a good look at the woman before a smirk appeared on his face.

"I've caught things that are far more troublesome than sheep." Said sheep still stood near him, looking up stupidly as it chewed on some grass, keeping well out of the way of the back end of the horse in case it got kicked. "A sheep would be the work of mere moments."

Tarrento raised his head, ears pricked forward as he looked at the stranger, tail swishing back and forth.

"I'm Arthur Pendragon," he introduced, rising off the fence to close some of the distance between them, "Might I have your name?"

She chuckled lightly: "If you say so..." It was clear from her tone of voice that until she saw proofs of what he was implying, she would stay skeptical.

She looked back at the horse, raising a hand to pet his mane. A shadow of recognition passed in her green eyes as the young man introduced himself. She gave him a longer look, a bit in disbelief. She had half expected any other Knights of the Round Table, but not really the King himself.

"Lara Croft. Welcome to Somarium, Arthur." She offered her hand to shake. This world was turning out to be truly interesting, especially with the people showing up lately.

At a later date he'd maybe demonstrate his hunting skills but for right now the sheep would be safe.

It wasn't as though he knew how to cook the damn thing anyway.

He shook her hand when it was offered and grinned. "A young woman I met earlier told me that this was some sort of dream world but I'm still not completely convinced. I mean, she hadn't heard of Camelot and well, everyone has heard of Camelot."

It wasn't a boast exactly - Camelot was so well known throughout Albion as one of the strongest kingdoms, a fact he'd been proud of and having someone say they'd never heard of it...it had been jarring to say the least.

Really, what in God's name was wrong with some people? You didn't call it a sheep when you ate it - you called it mutton and Arthur narrowed his eyes, one hand coming up to pinch the bridge of his nose. Merlin was going to be in the stocks for a week and on every sort of horrendous duty imaginable when he got back to Camelot. As if sensing Arthur's mood, Tarrento snorted and stamped and he got to his feet, petting the horse and calming him down

"Yes I'm new here and do people have some sort of strange aversion to eating meat in this realm?" Another sigh and he loosened a strap of the saddle, knowing that he'd have to take the tack off the horse for a while if they were just standing around here, and looked over at the stranger, giving him the once over. "I'm Arthur Pendragon, you are?"

There was a snort of laughter at hearing someone else with his name and that prompted the smile back on his face. He really wasn't on his game today, horribly harrassed, meeting people without the slightest clue as to Camelot's existence and telling him he was stuck in some dream world. Some cider or mead and a hearty meal then a good night of rest and he would hopefully find himself to be in a much better mood.

"You mean this thing?" The saddle loose enough to be comfortable for Tarrento, he started to rummage around and pulled out the Dreamberry, for the first time noting the colouring of the object and the design along the back and well...he was rather impressed with that; couldn't go wrong with Camelot's colours and a dragon now could you? "I know we can communicate with them...somehow but I'm not sure how to actually do that. You wouldn't have the time to show me would you?"

Belgium had been preoccupied with moving her stuff in to her new room. She had just recently moved in with England, after all. She nearly jumped hearing the yelling on her Dreamberry. "Keep it down a little. You might scare someone..." she said with a sigh, addressing the Dreamberry, mostly the boy.
