There were two things faeries of each court seemed to enjoy, and that was excellent wine and dancing. Of course, the style of dance differed between Courts. Summer Court fae preferred a happy dance in a meadow beneath the sun, or ( Read more... )

Hakkai thought it would be a good idea to get out of the house. He'd been holed up there for quite some time, long enough that every corner of his cottage was immaculate from his excessive cleaning. This time of year inevitably brought misery for him and he didn't want to expose his friends to it, not while they were all so happy.

He hadn't told anyone in Somarium about his birthday, so the 21st had passed by without incident. He was thankful for that. It brought back too many memories. Even now, as he sipped wine from a cup and watched the people dance, he didn't feel the need to participate. His mind was somewhere in the past with someone that he'd lost.

Hakkai found the hand holding somewhat uncomfortable, but he decided not to say anything. Actions that indicated intimacy to some might be meaningless to others. He was glad to get away from the crowd, in no small part because his arousal was becoming rather obvious.

As the sounds faded away, he wondered what Irial would be like in bed. Surely someone who was so forward even during a casual encounter would make an amusing partner. It might be interesting to let go for once, to allow someone else to take control. In either case, it had been awhile. He couldn't wait to feel someone else's hands all over him.

Irial could taste his discomfort, which is not to say it discouraged him in the least. As he could taste the man's excitement and arousal in equal measure, the dark faery pressed his palm in silent show of his own anticipation, not releasing Hakkai's hand until they had arrived at the lawn of the guest house ( ... )

Hakkai didn't react when Irial pressed his palm. He wasn't sure what it meant. He wondered about it as they approached the mansion, which he found to be grand and imposing in appearance. He was more comfortable when they veered toward the guest house. It seemed more familiar and less intimidating.

The furniture coverings were a bit of a surprise. It was odd to see anyone living in such a situation, but Hakkai didn't ask any questions. He was much more content to allow Irial to pull him in. Hakkai returned both the kiss and the embrace, opening his mouth to welcome Irial's tongue and moving fingers up to brush over the short hair at the nape of the faery's neck.

Now that they were alone, he didn't bother to restrain himself. A few needy groans slipped from his mouth and into his partner's. Then Hakkai pulled Irial closer and started grinding against him, not completely erect yet, but well on his way.

Irial silently kissed Hakkai, swallowing the low sounds he made and smiling briefly against his mouth. Maybe it was strange, not to moan or groan or sigh as often as most people did when they took pleasure from physical contact, but it was still evident in his eyes, where shadows cut across the gray-blue in arousal, and in the way he returned the kiss and gripped the other man, his hands skimming restlessly over Hakkai's arms and the fabric of his shirt, bunching it and releasing it, stimulating his palms and flexing his fingers and looking for an outlet ( ... )

There was something a bit strange about Irial's silence. From the moment they had met, Hakkai had gotten the impression that this person wasn't human. Hakkai had met vampires and other demons in this place before, so he knew that magical creatures weren't unusual. He couldn't tell exactly what Irial was, but it didn't particularly matter. Hakkai understood that there were reasons to hide one's identity. He had plenty of those himself ( ... )
