Being that Ezio had finally gotten Dastan to let him leave his cottage, he decided to go for a walk. Meandering about was always something he enjoyed, and it felt good to get out and stretch. His arm was still in the cast and sling, as it would be for the next couple weeks, and he was being careful of where he did tread.

When he passed the quaint little park and the children playing outside with the teachers, he couldn't help but stop and stare a moment. Didn't Leonardo mention he was going to be teaching at the school? For a moment, he actually expected to see the painter outside playing with the children--

Only to spot Alice instead, sitting alone and talking to that stuffed rabbit. He had only spoken to her a few times, but he figured it couldn't hurt to at least go over and greet the girl.

"Ciao, signorina, what are you doing sitting by yourself?" She seemed to type to be prancing around with other children, or at least doing something else.

God, she was so cute it almost hurt, "I'm sure you'll do well with whatever language you wish to learn, Alice." She seemed willing to learn at least.

He smiled again, "Bene," though he had no idea who her father was. Hopefully he wouldn't break his other arm, "Are you feeling better now?" at least she seemed happier now.

"Oh yes thank you very much for seeing to my well being Mr. Ezio. You are very kind."

Alice looked around and when she realized she couldn't give him something she plucked the flower she had pinned to Basil's lapel and held it out to Ezio.

"Here, as a thanks for being so kind... um..." she had to think. Bien was good in French. And bene was good in Italian. So perhaps he would understand French? Hmm... well... perhaps she could attempt to translate it into Italian! If si and oui were yes, and bien and bene were good... hmm...

"Por-ay vios," she said hoping it actually translated. And if she had just said some nonsense... well she was rather used to that.

Ezio took the flower, laughing as she seemed to fumble for the right words. Whatever she said, it sounded adorable, and he more or less got what she was driving at. Remind him not to hang around children for this long, he very well may get cavities and have his teeth rot out.

"Thank you, Alice." though he had no idea what the hell he would do with the flower after this. For now he just held onto it, spinning the stem between his fingers lightly, "You are just as kind to me, there is no reason for me not to return the favor. Besides, I wouldn't be much of a gentleman if I let a lovely young lady like you sit by herself."

"Ah well, this school has very few gentleman," she sighed as she gazed at the boys. "Just today a boy pulled my hair, and it's only the first day of school. He keeps teasing me too!" she pouted as she glared at a little brunette who kept glancing back at the bench she was sitting on.

Oh, well, the truth finally comes out then? Ezio turned his head to look at the boy, smirking.

"It seems you have an admirer, Alice." He offered with a laugh, "Was he only picking on you today? He very well might like you." There was logic in that, really. Before he learned the wonderful art of flirting, Ezio was one of those boys, "Young boys don't often express themselves properly."

"Well... he's only teased me I think. But don't be silly. He's the one that said I'm too old for Basil. He's just mean... if you like a girl you don't tease and pull on her hair."
