Sorry, he's a bit rude...paradoxfelineSeptember 16 2010, 06:16:36 UTC
Wandering about Somarium was one of the things Schrodinger did best. So it was no wonder he would bump into one of the newcomer of the dreamworld. It was his ears that alerted Schrodinger of someone squashing something. His red eyes saw a person stepping around in a garden, squashing the poor vegetables that were grown there. At first, he didn't make much of it, until the person started digging in the soil. This just beckoned the catboy over, a comment ready to be uttered and a big grin of amusement plastered on his face. "Are you a dog, Fraulein, or did you lose something?"
"Some of them do." Schrodinger answered A.B.A about whether newcomers dwell in the cottages. He then continued on, clarifying something to the girl."There are other places to live in Somarium besides Espoir."
From where they stood, they could visibly see large skyscrapers in the distance. Schrodinger pointed that out. "Beyond this village is the city, Somni and it has several districts. If you ever need anything, like food or clothing. Somni is the place to go."
"And beyond Somni is the desert." Schrodinger added with a hint of amusement."There used to be a castle that floated above, but recently it crashed into the desert. It really spooked a lot of people."
That was certainly of interest to A.B.A and she looked to Somni where the desert should have been, trying to imagine some type of castle. For how big Somarium looked to be so far than the castle must have been a wonderous thing as well.
"Maybe it was too heavy," A.B.A simply said. She couldn't figure any other reason a floating castle would fall and her brain didn't want to attempt coming up with anything else either.

"Well, if that was the case, it wouldn't have been able to float in the first place." The blonde cat boy pointed out. He then placed an hand under his chin and his grinning face was replaced with a pensive one. "But I think it lost it's power. Whatever was helping it levitate left and caused it to crash."
"The castle is still there if you ever care to look at it, but beware of the sand creatures. They're pretty dangerous." Schrodinger warned as he started walking up the path. The young boy was heading to the center of Espoir now. Known for the large fountain in the center of the plaza. It was a common meeting place.
He then also thought of something else he didn't mention."There is a rumor that beyond the desert is a beach. But as far as I know, no one has made it through the desert to confirm that."

A.B.A was quick to start following once again, but she looked a bit cautious after what the boy had said about creatures. The area had been peaceful so far. To learn there were dangerous things lurking about made her more uneasy without her weapon around to help protect her.
"A beach?" She turned her eyes back on Schrodinger and instantly perked up. Her worry for danger gone to the back of her mind. "I've never been to one of those before. I'm always too busy traveling for my husband's sake. But, if the desert is as dangerous as you say I'm not sure I would want to attempt it."
"That's probably for the best,Fraulein. But people do travel the desert, in groups, and they all manage to return safe and sound. However, no one had ever been through the desert." Schrodinger commented. He's only been to the desert once, just to explore the fallen castle. The desert was nothing to brag about and if A.B.A decided not to venture out there, then it wouldn't be a total lost on her account.
Finally they reached the Central Plaza. The middle of Somarium. From here they could move on to the other places in Somarium. The catboy looked to A.B.A, "There is a lake." He added. "Under the floating mountain. If you like the beach, the lake is the next best thing."
He then looked to a post, which had signs pointing everywhere direction. Each sign had a specific destination. He then turned back to A.B.A, "Would you like to see the first district, Fraulein?"
The lake sounded much safer to A.B.A, especially since there were no mention of any kinds of creatures roaming around. She had been in water a few times while she traveled, but usually just to wipe blood off her bandages that was leftover from fights.
"Hmm, yes." A.B.A looked to Schrodinger with a bit of a smile. The boy was extremely helpful so far. With an area so big she was sure she would have been lost her first trip out. She liked his ears too. It was rare she saw someone that had something of interest on the top of their head like her.
"Thank you for showing me around this far," she commented while they walked.
Schrodinger shrugged his shoulders. "I didn't have anything better to do, Fraulein." The cat boy was always fighting boredom. Drifting from one place to another in other to cure it. In this fashion, he's met a ton of different people. And though he has not encountered everyone in Somarium as of yet, it's only a matter of time. He then thought it would be a good idea to warn the girl about the same fate, he has to deal with day in and out."You'll see it gets really boring here."
Speaking of ears. Schrodinger was pretty curious about the key embedded in A.B.A's head. He turned to A.B.A and inquired about it."How did you manage to get a key through your head. Fraulein?"
A.B.A didn't believe she could become bored in a whole new world to run around in. It was so easy for her to find something new to learn about, but Schrodinger had lived in Somarium much longer. He likely knew better than her.
The sudden question had her looking away from the road ahead and back to the boy. She didn't mind it really, but one of her hands did automaticlly move up to touch the end of the large key.
"It was there when I woke up," she answered. "I was made this way. But, it doesn't pain me. It doesn't feel like much of anything."
"Made that way?" Schrodinger repeated. He then smiled, finding a connection with A.B.A. "You were created too? I also woke up looking like this. I'm not sure how I was made."
A.B.A became quite curious to such a thing. It was similar to her own first few minutes of life that she couldn't help the look of awe that she gave the boy.
"Neither am I," she said. "There was no one around when I woke up. I just know that I have a creator. Being born in a lab gives me such knowledge. Nothing else makes much sense. I had to learn and fend for myself until I found Paracelsus."
"Well, fortunately for me, I knew who created me and I wasn't alone. I knew my purpose because of that." The catboy isn't bragging but merely stating facts. However, even if it must have been hard fending for herself, Schrodinger was sure her journey was interesting. She probably learned a lot of valuable things that his sheltered life didn't afford him.
"But it must have been hard and very confusing for you."
"It was, yes," A.B.A admitted with a slight frown. "I lived in the lab for ten years of my life. When I finally had the courage to leave it was frightening. I had to figure everything out on my own."
She turned her attention away from him and gestured around Somarium. "Even now I will have to learn about so much. Paracelsus was usually very helpful and explained things I came across and didn't quite get, but not anymore."
"Well people here are very helpful and nice." Schrodinger brought up. Although, he wasn't always nice to people, nonetheless people here have always shown him kindness."Newcomers come here all the time and people always have questions to ask. I think that's the reason we have the dream berry to keep people connected. To make everyone here feel as if they're not alone. Although, it's useful most of the time, it can be pretty annoying when it broadcasts your dreams or show you in a very bad position."
"It does sound as if that could be very intrusive." A.B.A brought her dreamberry back out and looked it over. She was interested in playing with it. A phone wasn't something she had ever touched, but she knew what they did and were used for. She would just have to learn how to do so herself.
"I think, even though I was pulled from the one I love and my world, I will possibly like it here." She looked back to Schrodinger while she put the phone away again. "I travel so much that I haven't taken one of those things that humans call a vacation. I hear they are quite nice."
"Intrusive? I guess if you have something to hide it can be a nuisance. But if it doesn't matter than it really isn't a big deal." The cat boy said with a shrug. A.B.A didn't seem closemouthed about anything. For the most part, she's been pretty generous with the information she's told him.
"A vacation? I guess that's one way to view this situation, but like I told you before everything isn't as peaceful as it seems." Schrodinger brought up again and he felt slightly amused by his own comment. Now he was becoming like those who had warned him when he first arrived, putting a damper on his great expectations. And though barely any of his experiences were considered bad, one event did place him too far out of comfort zone. And he can't seem to forget it, like a haunting reminder."It does get boring, but things do happen. You can enjoy yourself, but at the same time it's a good idea to keep your guard up."
Then he remembered something else. "I probably should mention about the cards."
