Sanji headed out quickly after making plans to meet up with Aerith. It certainly wouldn't do to keep a lady waiting, after all~ With the directions she had sent him it was easy enough to find her shop, and soon he spotted it up ahead and picked up his pace a little in excitement.
Ahhh, an actual DATE. Or an afternoon spent with female company, at the very least. Sanji almost couldn't believe how lucky he was. He knew it was important not to come on too strong, he just needed to be himself and-oh was that...? A huge grin suddenly broke out on Sanji's face, and the next second he was spinning-yes, spinning-his way over to where Aerith was. "AERITH-SWAAAAAN~!!!"
...Perhaps someone should've warned Aerith just what "Sanji being himself" means.
Fortunately for both parties, Aerith was a very easy-going woman, and was a bit too use to men taking a liking to her. That being said, she also enjoyed making friends, and a little 'date' couldn't hurt. Even if she hadn't really thought of it as such. It was better to be doing things like this, than sitting around alone and wallowing in self pity. That wasn't very productive.
When she heard him call her name so...happily, Aerith turned, watching with wide eyes as the man spun over to her. That was new. The look of shock faded as she started giggling. This was going to be interesting to say the least,
"Good afternoon, Sanji. I see you're in a good mood."
Sanji came to a stop in front of her, reaching out to take her hand and press a brief kiss to the back of it. "How could I not be when I know I'm going to be spending time with you?" He grinned at her as he straightened up again and then took half a step back, not wanting to be too forward. "It's wonderful to meet you in person! You look absolutely beautiful, by the way, but I'm guessing you have a hard time looking anything but."
Yeah, really good at the not straight forward thing there, Sanji. Aerith accepted the kiss to her hand and giggled again. Wasn't he just adorable?
"Oh please, we've only just met. For all you know I could be terribly boring." a light blush painted over her cheeks at the beautiful compliment, and she pushed at his shoulder lightly. "I'd say the same for you, but I don't think beautiful is the right word. Hm. You look very handsome in person. How's that?"
