The bar was fairly quiet this evening. Not that Tifa was surprised, the week had been so confusing and weird that she doubted many had time to stop by for food or a drink.
But as she bumped the door to the kitchen open with her hip and stepped out behind the counter, she saw a man sitting at the bar. He was saying something, but she missed it, as she had just stepped in at the end of his sentence. It didn't matter though really, it looked like a customer, and it was her job to serve after all.
Walking over and pushing her dark hair back behind her ears, Tifa stood in front of him. "Hi there, can I get you something?"
Tifa made a note to ask him later what language he was speaking. It would break the atmosphere right no if she went ahead and asked, but she'd keep in mind to do it later. Whatever it was, it sounded lovely. She could assume some parts of what he was saying to her, but better to be safe than sorry if they continued to chat in the future.
It wasn't uncommon for men to touch her, it was common to get a rather indecent touch when working in a bar. But somehow it was very nice to have a man be so gentle with her, as it seemed like forever since someone had taken interest in her looks. A slightly bitter look crossed her features for a nanosecond, and quickly disappeared.
"You certainly know how to make a girl feel good about herself, don't you?" Taking a sip of her water, she slid the glass away once she was done. "Where do you live, hm?"
He'd probably be surprised whenever she did ask, honestly. Most people that he had met so far knew he was speaking Italian, and just got use to him randomly blurting out Italian words in the middle of his sentences. It was better than he could have been doing.
Another laugh, shaking his head slowly, "I only speak the truth, Tifa , you are beautiful, and it IS a shame they hide you away." Even if she was teasing. They must have had loads of business having her around though, "Cottage number 1, actually." IE: Like right next to the tavern.
"Well... thank you. I appreciate the genuine compliment then." It was silly to feel so giddy from this man's words, but she couldn't help it in some ways. It was nice to be called beautiful. "I'll spend a little more time outside the kitchen then."
The only way he could live closer was if he was upstairs above the bar like she was. "Hey now, that's pretty convenient," Tifa leaned back, gesturing in the direction of his house. "YOu could even get things delivered at that distance."
He nodded. Compliments toward pretty women usually just fell out of his mouth without a second thought. It was something he held onto from when he was younger, something that came all too naturally for him.
"Is that so?" he grinned a bit wider, "And would you be making the deliveries?" if not then he doesn't want anything, and honestly he couldn't think of when he might even need such a service.
"I would rather you simply come and visit, signora. It is rather lonely by myself."
