[In all honesty, Dominic still doesn’t know if he’s ready to face the world. Out in the public, when he still feels like crying at times, there’s always an uneasy feeling. He just hopes he doesn't run into anyone who heard him throw up a week ago

[Wow.
[Ken wasn't really intending to bother Dominic - something about the way the guy was standing suggested that he probably hadn't wanted to be bothered - but... well. Dominic probably wasn't intending to fall into the lake either.
[Ken doesn't stop to think. He simply shrugs off his jacket, tossing it to the verge, and dashes to where he saw Dominic disappear. Hesitating only to draw breath, he dives into the lake after him. It's cold, so cold he very nearly gasps, very nearly takes a lungful of lake himself-- eyes open, Ken stares through the churning waters and spiraling bubbles for Dominic, spotting him a few feet away and making a frenzied grab for coat/arm/anything before struggling to swim for the surface, emerging with a gasp.]
Hey, are you all right?
[... and you know, now that he thinks about it, maybe he ought to have checked if Dominic actually needed help first. Oh well?]
[OOC: Sorry I missed that last post. I feel like I should have tagged onto it given the CR but I was on hiatus.]

Y-Yeah, I'm fine...
[Gulliver is also fine, apparently, as it shakes the water off its body. Dominic glances at it in surprise, having briefly forgotten exactly why he fell in the first place.]
You...
[The last thing he expected to see was Gulliver, especially now that Anemone's gone.]
[ooc: It's fine! o/ Life happens. And Dominic's probably thankful for that.]

Okay. Okay--
[Phew.
[He doesn't really have the breath to say much more. Mercifully, they're not far from the lake shore. With one hand caught beneath Dominic's shoulders - just to be sure - he paddles over to the bank, grabbing onto a clump of reeds with one hand and steadying himself for a moment, before dragging himself back onto the shore. He turns back to check on Dominic, holding out one hand to pull him up - he'll drag him out too, if needs be, and the... well, what is that thing? It doesn't seem to be any the worse for the soaking, but--
[It's on the tip of his tongue to ask what the white thing is, but... well, Dominic seems to recognize it, right?]
You need a hand up or anything? Damn, I shoulda taken my shoes off--

No... No, I'm all right.
[True to his word, he manages to get himself out of the water, pushing his soaked hair out of his face as well. Gulliver chooses that moment to jump back onto Dominic's shoulder and adjust itself accordingly so that it's facing Ken, but he's prepared for it this time and thus he keeps his balance.
Already, the reminder of whom Gulliver's real owner is brings the grief and guilt crashing down on him yet again, but he tries his best to keep a straight face. Or, well, something akin to the melancholic expression he had on before.]
... Thanks.

Y-Yeah... sorry. I didn't even know this thing was here...
[Said 'thing' and source of his fall is currently shaking water off, before it looks up to stare at Meryl.]

Dominic, on the other hand, looks away.]
It's... It's nothing.

Diva stops at the sight of a person, tilting her head to one side, resumes walking then-- Watches him fall into the lake.
An unconscious laughter bubbles up in her throat and like a habit, she starts laughing. Out loud. ]

--And then promptly freezes upon recognizing the figure, Gulliver following suit. Dominic's blissfully unaware of Diva's role in Anemone's death, but her other actions haven't exactly left the greatest impression.]

Right. Dominic, wasn't it? The one the package was sent to, all wrapped up prettily in a box. She could only remember when the name registered the first time she used her Dreamberry. The boy who hung up on her. ]
Are you okay? You're soaking wet.

I-I'm fine.
[Now go away--that's what he wants to say, but he's smarter than that.]

Now that was interesting.
Have a Tokito standing on the shore and looking at it like you're some sort of idiot, hands tucked in the pockets of a light sweater.]
Oi! Are you okay?

Still, heavy or not, Dominic manages to climb out of the water and onto the shore, after coughing up some water. Gulliver, meanwhile, jumps off his shoulder and onto the land as if it doesn't have a care in the world.
So very unlike Dominic, who's stuck between grieving for Anemone, dealing with Vincent, and trying to comprehend Gulliver's sudden presence.]
Y-Yeah. I'm fine.

What is that thing? [ =| =| =|]

[As for what exactly it is, he has no idea. NOBODY DOES.]
