Who: Sodia and whoever feels like harassing her welcoming her. Where: Espoir, near a stream. Style: Third, but I'm open for some change. Status: Open to anyone!
It had been another day, another stroll through Espoir. Maka had to admit, while the rural village-like area felt out of place right in the middle of a huge city, its scenery was serene and peaceful, in a way. It was like a large park that somehow managed to escape the hustle and bustle of the city despite its easy accessibility, and although the girl was here because the apartment she returned to simply felt too empty, she couldn't say large crowds would lift her spirits by any, either

With a sulky air about her, Sodia went about drying herself off. At the least, it was a sunny day, which meant that she wouldn't have to worry too much about catching a sickness (not that it made her wet uniform more comfortable to be in, but it was more optimistic than anything else she had thought of so far). Despite this consolation, however, her mood was not lifted. It didn't help that someone had seen her like this, but Sodia tried to reign in her irritation. As a result, she managed a calm, "I'm fine" to the girl that had approached her.
Sodia straightened up and finally took a clear look at the surroundings. Oddly, the area looked very much unlike the fields and forests of Hypionia, which meant that either someone was quite determined with their prank, or she was mistaken about the whole thing. The knight turned back to Maka and asked, "Could you tell me where we are?"
She really needed to get back, especially at such a critical moment.
Maka didn't expect the spill to be anything harsh, but she looked relieved at the woman's response nonetheless. "Maybe there's something around you could dry yourself off with," she thought aloud, darting her eyes in various directions around them. The quick scan proved that there really wasn't anything, though, unless grass and leaves would suddenly become helpful in this situation. Where was a convenient towel when you needed one?
With disappointment vaguely written on her face, Maka turned back to Sodia just in time to catch her question--
"Could you tell me where we are?"She missed a beat, if only because the question was somehow unexpected, or perhaps because it jarred her out of her previously concerned thoughts. Maka blinked, despite knowing the answer to her question very well; so she came across someone else who suddenly found themselves in a foreign new world? Even if Maka had done this a few times already, she never did like being the bearer of bad news
( ... )
The girl really did seem to be genuine in her helpfulness, but that didn't make it any easier to believe what she was saying. How would someone jump from one world to another? It just wasn't possible. Sodia's skepticism rolled off her in waves.
