It had been a few nights since the celebration that Shinji and Asuka had found themselves at all of a sudden, and - though he still really couldn't grasp the idea of suddenly being in a completely new world all of a sudden, it seemed peaceful here. Or at least, it seemed peaceful when Asuka wasn't around, anyway. The two had found an abandoned house nearby and had made a temporary place to live - and while Shinji was ostensibly out getting supplies, he was starting to like wandering around the nearly empty village and city by himself. No responsibilities here to anyone except himself... it was almost relaxing.

The snow was nice, too. It didn't ever snow back in Tokyo-3, so it had taken him some getting used to, but it really made the world so very quiet and peaceful.

Said peace and quiet was about to be broken, as Shinji was too lost in his own thoughts to hear Lloyd shouting at him to get out of the way.

Finally, Shinji thought he'd heard something - and turned to see a young man completely clad in red barreling downhill towards him at what was surely literally-breakneck speed on a plank of wood, frantically waving for him to get out of the way.

Shinji yelped.

Perhaps it was to his credit that his reflexes were quick - he was able to get out of the way ... mostly. However, quick though they might have been, they weren't quick enough, and Shinji's feet were clipped by the young man's sled as he tried to jump to the side, resulting in a spin-around, a loss of balance, and then a firm faceplant in a very cold pile of snow.

Shinji's feet were enough for Lloyd's sled to loose control and send the young man flying of the wooden seat.

"Whoooooooooooooooooooah!"

The young man landed in a tree nearby, causing the snow on the branch to fall over him. Having lived worse in his life, he stood up, laughing as he dusted the snow off himself. He then ran to Shinji.

"I'm really sorry! Are you alright?"

Shinji gave a long, low groan that was muffled by the snow. It didn't hurt so much as it was just... cold, and wet. Still, he guessed he was all right. For what it counted, anyway. Still, at least the other boy seemed sorry about what he'd done? That was something.

He pushed himself to his feet, wiping the snow off his shirt before he got even wetter. "Yeah, I'm... I think I'm okay."

Lloyd grinned as Shinji got to his feet, uninjured.

"I'm Lloyd! And again, sorry for sliding over you" he said, scratching the back of his head sheepishly. "Although it was really fun!" he added, walking back to his sled.

"You should try it! There's another one at the top of the slope!" Lloyd turned around to walk back up the slope.
