My world ended up saving itself, really. We stopped the bad guy, but were too late to prevent catastrophe that followed.

Meteor still fell, but Holy and the Lifestream stopped it from destroying everything.

So in the end, everyone was saved.

[Dastan looks down, keeping to himself for a moment. One hand reaches for the sand again, letting some flow through his fingers. It's hard to admit even for him, but the Prince can't help but to wish he had been able to save his world as well. To stop the Wrath of the Gods, to turn back time to before the invasion of Alamut, to keep his family and Tamina from dying.

Looking up again at Tifa, he gives her a small smile, one that doesn't truly reach his eyes.]

[He nods once. It's hard for him to keep hope about his world, but he knows he must. Because the thought of having lost everyone he loved so that the world would be destroyed by the Gods anyway is too much to bare, even for him.

Finding that the conversation has turned to something perhaps a bit too heavy for such a beautiful day, Dastan cocks his head on one side, determined to change the subject]

He's never been in a harem except for that time he literally crashed into one while running away from the guards but that doesn't count, really, but Dastan is starting to think that this world might be one. Except fort he little child he's met. Still, he blinks and raises an eyebrow at the young woman's proposition]
