Magnus was grumbling as he headed home. He actually had to grocery shop now, which was a bitch. Snapping his fingers was so much easier. But he realized almost immediately this morning when he tried to acquire a cup of coffee that something was very wrong.

What the fuck happened to his power?

This had better be another temporary state, another of Somarium's practical jokes, or this warlock was going to graduate from annoyed to full on pissed off at the Powers That Be.

Walking briskly along the path, Magnus barely took notice of his surroundings - that is until he saw the green hair. He gave her a two-fingered salute, remembering that she had been off the last time they'd talked. Not quite sure what was up with that.

"Hot outfit. You look like a German tavern maid."

C.C. did a double-take briefly, her cool yellow eyes assessing him. At his comment, her lips quirked in a slight smirk. Half-smirk at best.

He was very familiar. Extremely. Something in the back of her mind...
She twirled a strand of hair, shrugging her shoulders.

"You can only find so much in the country. Unless you ride haywagons naked." She mused, eyes lit with wicked humour.

"Only on Halloween," Magnus retorted, able to step outside of his anger for a moment. At least he had supplies. The hard part was over.

"That where you picked up the hay in your hair? Dirty girl."

"Mm, such a stereotypical holiday. It was boring starting out." She drawled, waving her hand as she glanced at him bemusedly.

She fingered strands of hay in her hair idly. "Obviously. You didn't strike me as the type to make me repeat myself." She teased.

Edward wouldn't have even noticed the green haired woman at the fountain, as out of place as she appeared - everyone in this world looked out of place, and with so many travelers getting stuck here, some just seemed lost.

What stuck out about this woman, more than anything, was the hay littering her body. Even non-residents could find a hotel to clean up in, but instead of this knowledge making him wary of her presence, as it might have for any sane resident- it just made Ed all that much more curious about her. The girl didn't even have a suitcase on her.

"Hey," Golden eyes were looking her over curiously, but the focus was more on the scattered hay than her clothing or physical attributes. There was always the possibility she liked being covered in hay, people from other worlds could be pretty bizarre. "You're new right? They still haven't found a way to get visitors home yet... Do you have somewhere to stay until everything's fixed?"

For a minute C.C. had to find the source of the voice, and when she did, her gaze was instant, sharp, equally golden eyes set on his own with a tilted head.

She didn't seem to pay any mind to his looks over her clothing, if anything, she just adjusted her Cheese-kun and glanced at the boy.

"I wonder what gave it away." Was her response to his question, the next part of it causing her to tilt her head slightly to the right.

"If I did, I don't think I'd be roaming around this much." She said lightly, almost smirking.

He returned the smirk with an almost sheepish one of his own, at her words. "Maybe you like standing around by fountains." Ed offered, trying to figure the girl out while still maintaining some semblance of conversation.

"There are plenty of hotels for visitors, but with everyone stuck here I'm not sure how many would have any vacancies right now. Edward has no concept of flirting or come-ons, so the direct approach seems the most logical to him - not considering that it might sound inappropriate, or as if he had an ulterior motive, to someone else.

"I don't have much room at my place, but you could at least get cleaned up a bit. You don't even have a change of clothes, do you?"

"And how would you ever know? Awfully presumptous for someone I just met." She drawled, an eyebrow raised at his wording. Of course, she heard the second part, and rather amusedly, she said, "Most girls would be blushing after such an invitation. What a very crude young man."

Her faint smirk grew.
"No, traveling the country doesn't leave you much room for belongings."
