[He is, for reasons best known to himself, attempting to obtain a hat. He's running into difficulties for several reasons: he has no idea what the hat is called, only what it looks like; he doesn't actually know how big the person he's buying it for's head is; and he doesn't have any idea where you'd go to get hold of a hat in the first place. But he's trying, because he's decided that he needs to get hold of a hat urgently. So here he is.]
