[He is walking by because it's such a nice day, and ahhh, the sun is back! So he hasn't particularly noticed her yet, as he continues to walk cheerfully.]
[ She nearly drops her Dreamberry when he walks past her, making a small, surprised, almost squeal-like sound at the back of her throat as she does. Once she's regained her hold on it, she looks up at Spain, wondering if he will actually notice her presence, or if he would simply walk past her like all the rest. ]
[Annoying sunshine. It really is too bright. He has just been loitering at the flowershop, and is just making his way back to his Church-like dwelling with a bouquet of fine red roses when the sunlight hits, and he winces. It's not painful, per se, but it's something that goes beyond annoyance, and makes him want to cut something. Quickening his pace, he intends of getting indoors as soon as possible before the sunlight ruin his good mood when the cool shade envelops him.
He slows down, and turns. The fountain, and it's unwieldy large statue, and in the shade, a little girl with her dreamberry and looking quite distraught.
...
With a smile and half-bow, he makes his way over to where she is seated, and sits down next to her.]
I daresay it's a lovely day today, wouldn't you agree?
[ At first, she pretends to not notice him, glancing at him briefly from the corner of her eyes without moving her head at all as she continues to tinker with all of the different menus. As soon as he comes too close to her, however, she immediately stops messing with her Dreamberry, looking up with a somewhat startled expression.
She stares at him as he makes his way over to her, blinking as if she was uncertain of what exactly he was doing, before awkwardly scooting over immediately as if she had just realized what he planned to do.
When he starts speaking, Rei merely places her Dreamberry on her lap, holding onto it just a little bit too tight, before nodding and stuttering out a quick answer. ]
[What a cute little girl. He muses absently if Echo would like a new friend, or Zwei a new chew toy. Perhaps Lotti would like her, or perhaps he could keep her for himself. She would look nice in a blue dress, or maybe a purple one.
A smile. What a lovely little girl this is.
He really disliked them.]
Hardly a day for such a sad expression, I must admit. Perhaps I may be of assistance, miss? There is something wrong, isn't there?
[ She immediately flushes an interesting shade of red, almost as if she had just realized she had done something horrible, before shaking her head. As soon as she's done with that, she plasters the same nervous smile she had shown to many more before him, looking apologetic.
Time to see what this one had to offer. ]
Ah, no, I-I'm sorry... I didn't m-mean to bother anyone, I was just... T-Thinking.
Miku herself wasn't in any better of a situation. Although she had been here for a good week now, she hadn't been able to acquire too much useful information. Furthermore, she han't been able to locate her brother, or anyone else she vaguely knew, for that fact. She had been left to wandering the city and village during the day, settling in a small apartment at night. Her goal had been to ask as many people as possible for information, but that was far easier said than done. Everyone seemed busy, everyone seemed like they had a goal. She didn't want to interrupt, didn't want to be a bother.
"...Excuse me," Miku implored quietly, noticing a girl around her age by herself. She had been watching for a few moments, gauging whether or not to approach, but decided in the end to do such. She walked over, hand instinctively touching her necklace. "...You aren't busy, are you?"
Upon hearing a girl's voice, Rei looks up from her Dreamberry, plastering the same surprised look on her face she had used so many times before. She blinks twice, staring at the girl who was currently approaching her as if she was confused over whether or not she was talking to her, before shaking her head slowly in reply.
"A-Ah, no..." She begins, holding her Dreamberry against her chest and clutching onto it a little bit too tightly, before continuing. "I-It's fine... I'm n-not busy at a-all." She then scoots over on the bench, in case the girl wanted to sit down, and smiles as politely as possible, still looking somewhat nervous.
Miku cautiously took a seat. It had been offered, right, and looked down at the Dreamberry in her own hands once seated. Her fingers trailed precariously over the edges of the device before she risked a glance up at the other girl, eyes still brimming with confusion and a desire for answers.
"...When I first got this," she explained, voice quiet, as if talking to herself, but from the tone, she was clearly talking to the stranger as well, "it wasn't this shape. It was something I had previously. But now... it's this."
She looked back from the Dreamberry to the other girl. "Someone told me it was for communication for the other residents here."
Rei silently observed the girl as she took a seat next to her, still keeping the same polite smile plastered on her face. She observed the way she glanced down at her own Dreamberry, the way she then looked at her completely and utterly confused. The way she wanted answers.
This could be perfect. Perhaps.
"...T-That would be right." She says, nodding slowly as some form of reassurance, as if she actually cared about how confused the other girl felt. "The D-Dreamberry changes shapes when y-you're not using it... I-It goes back to looking l-like a phone when you need to use it to talk to others."
And then she glances down at her own Dreamberry, pretending to be thinking about something, before looking away from it and back to the girl seated next to her. "H-Has... Has anybody explained to you what else it can d-do...?"

Now, to see how useful this would prove to be.
