[Whilst he wasn't surprised that Maya expected burgers, he was surprised that she was here. He held in his arms an entire paper bag filled to the brim with her favorite meal, and he trudged through the snow like a real trooper.
Yes, he was ten minutes late. But she could deal with it. Especially since he forgot to put his coat on, so he'd most probably catch his death by coming out all this way.

[Unaware of her situation, Maya was admittedly more excited to see the burgers than she was to see Phoenix. Her stomach gave out a large grumble to emphasize her hunger. All those burgers looked so good...
But she waved back at him with her arms stretched to the fullest. Anyone with eyes would have noticed her in her, especially because she looked just like an aerobic instructor beginning a workout.
If Phoenix was going to complain about the cold, Maya wouldn't care. She stood in freezing waterfalls all the time and heck, the Hakazura temple wasn't as bad as this. He could be such a weakling sometimes...]
