Maglor, unaffected by the strange spell, did not know the residents of Somarium well. He was unable, therefore, to tell that anything was different, though he sensed that something was...off.

Watching the woman attack the scarecrows was very peculiar, however. He hesitated, wondering if she quite honestly believed that her family had beenn killed or taken by...scarecrows.

Perhaps she was mad? Either way, Maglor thought as he watched her in silence, perhaps it was best to simply...continue on his way?

Maglor felt little relief at the weapon being lowered, for he had not been concerned in the first place. But he did smile slightly to see that she seemed to be, at least a little bit, convinced.

"I know not why your senses are playing such tricks on you, nor do I know how to stop them from doing so," Maglor admitted, again tucking his harp under his arm snugly.

"I will allow that you are not among the ranks of the living dead, but I do not trust that what you say I see is not what is here."

"It is rather unsensible to believe some of my words and not the remainder," Maglor said, shaking his head. "If I myself appear to be something other than myself, when I am clearly not, cannot the same be said of the scarecrows in that field?"

Elizabeth shook her head. "I... I do not know how this is possible. I see you here, and those zombies, just as clearly as I see my Father's lands and the family dojo."

Maglor turned sharp eyes to the area around them. "I see fields, scarecrows, and some small cottages."

He sighed, quietly. "I do not know how it is possible either, but it would appear that your senses are deceiving you. Who would have the power to do such a thing, I do not know."

"Power? Only the Devil can strike one with such blasphemous visions! I am a warrior of the Crown, trained by Master Liu of the Shaolin Temple! I cannot fall prey to such a think from the Devil!"

'Devil' meant nothing to him, though by the way she said it, he guessed it was something similar to how the elves referred to Morgoth.

"It would appear you have already fallen prey to such a thing, though knowing that you have is certainly better than remaining in such a state in ignorance," Maglor said, tone still quiet.

Elizabeth shook her head again. "Do not speak such blasphemy! I serve the Crown and God, I cannot be afflicted with such!"

"It matters not to me if you believe or disbelieve that you have taken leave of your senses," Maglor answered simply, still merely watching her. "However, it is entirely possible that you may cause harm to an innocent person, thinking them one of the 'living dead'."

While Maglor cared little for what happened to her or any of the innocent bystanders, he did still have a conscience, and the fact that she could harm someone innocent did give him pause. It could even be a child passing by, someone who wouldn't be able to defend himself...

Elizabeth dropped her weapon at shock from his words, then mentally cursed herself for her inattentiveness. While she could not trust him... It was true that she had mistaken him for one of the sorry stricken, and he might not be the last.

"I-I... I could never..."

Maglor sighed, shortly. "I believe it is entirely possible, and it would matter not who you are. If you cannot trust your senses, you shall have to trust your reason."

He narrowed his eyes, looking around. It seemed deserted for now, but that meant little. It could change at any time. And so, Maglor tilted his head, for...he had little choice in this, it seemed.

"I presume you know of no cure to this affliction." It was a statement, not a question; if she had known of one, she would have used it, he was certain. "We shall have to find one."

He faced her, then, voice louder and stronger than it had been this entire conversation.

"You shall take the consequences of this affliction, for such a thing cannot be shirked. You are a danger to yourself and innocent people, and cannot remain as such."

And Maglor sighed again, shaking his head. It had been a long time since he had made use of his voice in the attempt to sway belief. But it was necessary in this case. It was for the woman's own good.

"There must be a cure, and you must find it." He paused. If she could not tell who was or was not real...What a burden. "And I shall assist you."

Maglor's gaze was unwavering as he watched her. "I shall. You are not fit to search on your own, and I wish to see no innocents harmed for little reason."

Too many innocents had been harmed for pointless reasons. The blood of such innocents still stained his hands. Maglor inclined his head slightly.

"Let us begin our search."
