Laharl was licking his wounds (literally) in the village, grumbling to himself as he glared at the cast-off shirt that until a few days ago had belonged to Solid Snake. Sure, he'd won the match, and sure, he'd gotten the shirt- but what the hell did he care about shirts? And was it really worth what wounds he had taken?
He stood up, stretching his arms and glancing towards the middle of the village. He glanced at all the passerby- Useless fools, all of them- but suddenly stopped with a start when he saw the familiar blond hair and white cloak. The red clothes were different from usual, but one thing was for sure- It was definitely Flonne.
He resisted the urge to run out and do something disgusting like hug her and instead walked over to her, a small smile on his face.
"Took you long enough to get here again, Love Freak."
Flonne blinked, and quickly turned when she heard the all-too-familiar voice next to her. "Ehh?! Laharl?!" Her shock immediately turned into a bright smile as she saw that it was, indeed, Laharl. She chose to ignore the 'Love Freak', bit, convinced that deep down, he called her that, meaning for it to be something of an endearing nickname.
Her smile faded a bit as she noticed the wounds he seemed to have recently recieved. There weren't many who could injur Laharl. Not by normal methods anyway.
Well, not by dirty methods either, since Laharl usually knew how to counter these sorts of things. "Laharl, you're hurt! Let me see!" The blonde fallen angel didn't really wait for permission, mostly because it was an instinctive act, but also because part of her was sure he would fight off her help or straight out refuse if she did.
Her demonic wings tensed. "Who did this to you?" In her concern, she forwent asking him any other questions, deciding that they could wait.
Laharl rolled his eyes and made a 'pfeh'-type noise. Same old Flonne. Annoying though she might be, he'd grown kind of attached to her being bizarrely concerned over him- an Overlord. Even though he'd never admit it. Ever. No matter what. Ever.
"Meh." He folded his arms behind his head, wincing a bit from his soreness. "I beat some guy up for his shirt and he got a few good hits in. No big deal."
"You... wanted his... shirt?" Somehow, that failed to register. Although, the aloof way he talked about it sounded like him. And that was where Flonne had to worry about Laharl. Someone had to, because Laharl never did

[The nerve of this world, kidnapping an innocent soul like Flonne! Kurtis brought one of his flipper arms up as if he was clenching his fist in front of him in determination.]
Fear not, Flonne! I swear, by my honor as the Defender of Earth, I will get you back to our world!

[she flaps them softly for him to see because no she's not ashamed of them]
I don't mind! After all, it's not every day I get to see humans either. I probably seem strange to you.
