Gale was already seated on the other side of the fountain. He was aware of Jenna's presence, of course. He could never forget that scent. Not only the smell of her hair, but...her own personal scent. Something that made even Vayu purr in recognition.

If the demons were so tied to their soul...did that mean that Vayu knew Jenna through David as well?

"I'm here."

Jenna jumped at the sound of his voice. Had he really been here that whole time? She chastised herself inwardly, annoyed with herself that she hadn't picked up on his presence sooner. Quickly, she changed her expression again, replacing her momentary surprise with a cool exterior once more. It never failed to stir something in her when she saw him -- sitting there with David's face.

"Well?" she nearly tapped her foot in wait, "Have you figured out why is it that you've -- come here yet?" She studied him a moment longer, "I do not like wasting time, you know."

Gale stood and approached her, never taking his eyes off her for a moment. He stood before her, looking down at her for what felt like an hour. Maybe more.

"No. I haven't. Whatever it is...I believe that it was triggered by Serph's disappearance."

Jenna shifted uncomfortably on her feet under his gaze. She didn’t appreciate being called out for no reason, and it seemed to bother her even further that he didn’t know the exact reason he sought her company. Was it truly David’s karma within him, fueling his actions? As she considered the options, it didn’t seem likely that Gale had let the others know about their meetings - it was likely they would have followed him here otherwise.

Wanting to break the silence, she was almost grateful that he did so first. Without knowing how to react to the situation, she more than likely would have said something crass, perhaps even cruel, in order to get the spotlight off of her again.

“So your fearless leader really has left, hm?” She said it more for her own benefit. If Serph was gone, then for certain, that meant that there was a way out of this hell. “Though I still fail to see the correlation between that event and myself. Before you even consider it, I will inform you that I had nothing to do with it.”
